About the adventure
Suspended between two peaks, the Hanging Prison is a spine of iron halls and chain-bridges stretched three miles between summits, over three miles above a frozen lake. Sub-zero winds roar at a hundred miles an hour; frost blooms on every girder. Up here, memory is engineered to fail. No one remembers the charge that put them here. Intake brands a sigil on the inner wrist—a double-crossed notch—and locks on a “whisper-cuff” that thrums with the bell chimes. When the bells sing with the gale, the cuff hums back, shaving minutes from thought. Names blur. Motives wash out. The ledger says you are lawfully held; the lines that matter are drowned in ink. The Warden calls it “a place for crimes that must never gather a crowd,” and smiles. Life is wind and routine: ration lines in the Chain Hall; guards in furred helms trudging bridges with harpoon-casters; an old turbine room wheezes. A sky-barge docks twice a week—if the gusts allow—winching crates along a cable tram. a hairline crack in the amnesia: The smell of river silt; the shape of a doorway; the word “Trestle.” Compare splinters and patterns emerge. Each of you recalls a different city but the same courthouse bell. Each bears scars of a ritual that binds memory to sound. Someone engineered a mass forgetting and fed you to the wind. Questions are knives: Who framed you? Why must your names never gather a crowd? What happens if the bell stops? Navigate a city-sized prison strung on iron chains between two mountain peaks. Every corridor doubles as a street; chow lines turn into markets; hallway barbers rent corners; cell doors become shopfronts where inmates hawk hand-made candy and contraband. Gangs tax everything—air, steps, rumors. The guards don’t stop fights; they only stop escapes, and they’re quick to toss the losers into the frozen abyss below. Trust no one—but learn everyone. Barter with what you craft or the favors you’ve earned. Eavesdrop at the chow queue, trade stitches in the infirmary for secrets, sweep hair for the hallway barber and listen while the blades sing. Watch which crews move when the winds lull and which doors shift at shift-change. The prison works like a city; survive it like one. Your body knows things your mind can’t recall. Muscle memory flickers: the stance of a brawler, the rhythm of a lock, the knot that never slips. Test those skills carefully; the wrong display makes you valuable, and valuable people disappear. From “murderers for hire” to smugglers with candy-sweet covers, every inmate runs a hustle. Some sell protection; some sell information; some sell you out. Work details—ice scraping on the catwalks, coal runs to the boiler heart, latrine duty—buy you rations, gossip, and enemies in equal measure. survive long enough to piece together who you were, why you were taken, and who framed you—then gather enough truth to plan the only thing that matters in the Hanging Prison.

About me
I’ve been passionate about tabletop RPGs for over 15 years, during which I’ve run more than 900 sessions and developed a long-term campaign spanning over five years, featuring more than 200 custom maps—all created by me. I've built multiple unique worlds and host games via my own Discord server, where I stream sessions in 1440p at 60 FPS. I’m not only willing but genuinely excited to collaborate on custom homebrew content—whether it’s spells, characters, or other elements—to make each session engaging, memorable, and emotionally impactful. Outside of gaming, I’m a proud father of two, happily married, and a U.S. Army veteran with over six years of service. Recently, I’ve faced some financial challenges. Encouraged by my wife and regular gaming group, I decided to channel my passion and creativity into sharing the drama, humor, and unforgettable stories I craft with others in the community. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please feel free to message me. I’d love to connect!

Creating your character
Once players have officially joined the campaign, I will work with each of them individually to develop a fully customized character that reflects their creative vision while fitting seamlessly into the rich setting of Lustria—a world I’ve spent the last eight years building and expanding. Lustria is a deeply fleshed-out realm, shaped by intricate lore, evolving histories, and interconnected regions. It's currently home to another long-running campaign now entering its fourth year, and this new story will be set in the same living, breathing world. During our one-on-one sessions, players will be able to create any character they can imagine. This includes homebrew content such as original spells, races, species, weapons, or other unique concepts. I’ll assist with balancing mechanics and narrative integration to ensure that each character is both powerful and meaningful in the context of the world. In addition, I will help each player build a backstory that not only reflects their character’s personal journey but also ties them into the lore and current state of Lustria. Whether your character is a wandering relic hunter, a royal exile, or a miscast spell gone sentient—together we’ll root them in the world’s politics, history, and ongoing conflicts. All character creation will be done through D&D Beyond for streamlined play and accessibility. Players are also encouraged to provide or create visual references for their characters. These images will be featured on their digital sheets and used to bring the party to life within campaign handouts and immersive materials. Once characters and backstories are complete, we’ll hold a Session Zero dedicated to rolling stats, introducing characters, and establishing inter-party relationships. This session will serve as a narrative warm-up and ensure everyone is aligned and excited before the first full adventure begins.

What Nuisance brings to the table
As part of the campaign experience, I will provide players with a detailed world map of Lustria, hand-crafted to reflect years of careful development. In addition, you’ll gain access to an expansive archive of over 500 maps—including cities, landmarks, and key locations across the realm. To further enrich the setting, I’ve curated thematic music, authentic in-world recipes from various cultures within Lustria, and an immersive world populated by a vast array of NPCs, each with their own deep histories and motivations. This is more than just a setting—it’s a fully realized world, alive with culture, conflict, and mystery. From ancient ruins to bustling trade ports, Lustria offers a wealth of narrative possibilities and lore that stretches far beyond what you might expect. Prepare to step into a living story shaped by your choices and the world around you.

How Nuisance creates a safe table
Player safety and group harmony are top priorities in my campaign. I have a clear set of rules and expectations in place, and I will consistently enforce them to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and immersive environment for everyone. If any concerns arise—whether it’s interpersonal conflict, disruptive behavior, or a formal complaint—I will address the matter swiftly and appropriately. I bring with me years of military experience as an infantryman, including leading both teams and squads in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as completing extensive leadership training. These experiences have equipped me to handle challenges with a calm, measured, and solution-oriented approach, while remaining sensitive to the needs and perspectives of everyone involved. My goal is to ensure that every player feels safe, respected, and supported, so that we can all fully enjoy the collaborative storytelling and adventure that Lustria has to offer.
