About the adventure

A customized version of the Acquisitions Incorporated adventure, the Orrery of the Wander, set in the world of Eberron! Like most new adventurers, you're desperately seeking that most elusive of quests – a paying job. But when a case of mistaken identity inadvertently brings your party into contact with a mysterious—yet incomplete—artifact, you are drawn into an ever-widening conspiracy that could shake the foundations of the world! Can you reassemble the artifact, elude the factions that seek your demise, and maybe, possibly, actually get paid?

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll play on using D&D Beyond to create characters and D&D Beyond Maps VTT for encounters and rolling. We'll start at level 1 with Standard Array attributes, Fixed HP, and starting equipment. Nearly every D&D Class or Species can find a place in Eberron, though there are some specific options available in the Eberron campaign setting that may tie in more appropriately. No Homebrew or Unearthed Arcana/playtest material, but if you have an idea for something from one of the official books that's unusual, let the GM know and we may find a way to incorporate it/balance it for the setting. If you're flexible, we can probably figure it out!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We'll be running our sessions with a low technical learning curve, using a combination of Discord and D&D Beyond to create characters and D&D Beyond Maps VTT for encounters and rolling. All invites and links, including set up instructions and quick start guides will be provided upon booking. If you are new to those tools, don't worry! We can walk you through it and get you into the game quickly and easily!

What BrokenUnicorns brings to the table

I try to stay consistent with Rules as Written for a even-handed game, but lean into Rule of Cool when it makes for a more fun experience. I play my NPCs with unique voices and characterization to make them stand out. And while we have tactical maps and handouts to help set the scene, I try not to be limited by the tools and use Theater of the Mind when needed to help my players feel like an active part of the world.
