About the adventure
Thousands of years of civilization disappeared in a flash of nuclear fire and magical frost, but you’re still here. Gonna do something about it? Inspired by Pathfinder: Kingmaker, video games like Wasteland and Fallout, comics like Tank Girl, and movies like Mad Max. Pay tribute to the Gods of Speed! Run over a raider today! • Construct powerful wasteland vehicles to bring battle to your enemies. • Combine magic and tech to battle against water raiders, irradiated mutants, and magical creatures! • Establish a community both mechanically and in the narrative, creating your own support and expanding your influence. • Rediscover lost tech and magic and put them to use. • Explore varied wastelands and environments; wild magic areas, radioactive craters, labyrinthine mountains, pre-apocalypse bunkers, and more! • Salvage and build! Make gear, build cities! Called to one of the few city states that's managed to stay functional, you've been chosen to head west and try to bring light and law back to the glowing wastelands. If you can ride down the bandits and raiders, it may be a good place to settle down. But something else has an interest in the area; something hungry!

About me
Hey folks! I'm Pete, known online as StenBjorn! I run Stone Bear Crafting and Games, a business dedicated to painting miniatures, 3d printing, building terrain, writing adventures, and helping customers have an awesome gaming experience! I've been playing D&D since family introduced me to the game in the late 80s. I have played and Game Mastered through a multitude of editions, learned other game systems, and never stopped loving storytelling through games - and hanging out with cool people! It's very important to me that everyone is welcome at my table. I'm happy to teach and believe learning is constant, and that when we're sitting at the table, we're all working together as a team. In that spirit, I don't tolerate bigotry of any sort. I want my games to be a safe space for group fun and growth and amazing storytelling! I do not use generative AI in any of my games or productions.

Creating your character
Most Cypher character options are on the table, we may just have to re-skin for the setting if necessary! We'll be using a single descriptor... at least a first! Mutations are definitely possible in the Wastes! I'm happy to help with character creation, but feel free to get started with the online Cypher System Character Builder! Backstory creation is done cooperatively with a custom backstory system made to integrate your character into the world and story!
• No experience necessary, I love teaching and it's a great system! • During session 0 we'll be doing character creation and backstory creation to get you integrated into the world! • We start as soon as we get to 4 players!

How Pete - StenBjorn creates a safe table
My games put story first, and I encourage role playing and creative thinking! Big swings are fun! I will provide combat, exploration, puzzles, and plenty of role playing opportunities! These games don’t work if we don’t think like a team, and work best when we’re all working together. I expect players at my table to respect each other, the story, and me. We will be working together to explore characters and tell a story. Optimization of your character is fine, but if math is the main attraction of the game for you, my table may not be what you’re looking for. I treat RPGs not as games to be won, but experiences to be built. I enjoy challenging combats and will throw them your way, but they have to serve the story. I ask all my players to be good to each other! Be cool, and we shall have a great time together. I don’t strictly follow Rules As Written, but I don’t deviate from RAW for no reason. That being said, I definitely believe in the rule of cool, as long as it doesn’t bend reality, and I use a few house rules for fun, flavor, and ease of use. These will be talked about in session 0. My games are for a mature audience, and I swear like a pirate when it’s appropriate(in character). I welcome anyone to chat about expectations, but I do aim for an adult game, and as these games are fantasy/sci-fi, there will be conflict and violence and raised voices. I use the X(red), N(yellow), and O(green) card system during game play. This functions through Foundry with the /whisper gm command and as a module. No explanation is needed when these are used. Before we start I will also be asking everyone to fill out the Digital RPG Consent Checklist by Kienna Shaw and Lauren Bryant-Monk(Adapted from Monte Cook Games). I have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of any sort, including race, creed, colour, gender, sexual orientation, etc. I(the GM) reserve the right to remove a player immediately if they are in violation of this rule.
