Campaign Pitch: The mists close around you like a cold whisper as you awaken on an unfamiliar road, the world muted and distant beyond a gray curtain. Lantern light flickers through the fog, guiding you toward a lone figure who welcomes you with practiced politeness and wary eyes. They speak the name of this land—Barovia—and assure you that travelers rarely arrive by accident. It doesn’t take long to feel the tension humming beneath the surface. Villagers speak in hushed tones of strange happenings, shifting allegiances, and old legends stirring back to life. Whispers drift through taverns and down abandoned halls about unseen powers vying for influence, a noblewoman whose past reaches further than memory, and a figure in a dark castle whose gaze lingers far too intently on newcomers. The land feels poised for change, though no one dares say what that change might bring. Will you unravel the mysteries woven through Barovia’s fog-choked past? Will you resist the temptations that watch your every step—or embrace them? The mists have chosen you, traveler… will you answer their call? In this campaign, we will create characters together, using DnDBeyond.com in an individual session zero (free), and then you will take your first steps as new characters! This campaign begins at level 1. This campaign is designed with new players in mind, but experienced adventurers will also find themselves swept into the intrigue of the Barovia. This game will take place on Friday Evenings Eastern time!
