About the adventure
Travel across the Forgotten Realms, dealing with major and minor dangers galore while following a mysterious patron, and an even more mysterious draconic egg, from lair to lair of dragons of every color and metal. All so you can stop an ancient blue dragon from taking over the world. Count on things being more than they seem, and concern yourself with the state of the realms as you explore its length and breadth in this wide-ranging adventure that involves MORE than just the 10 adventures in the Dragon Delves book. Enjoy classic Dungeons and Dragons using the 2024 ruleset, and build the strongest party you can imagine, because here? There be dragons. Dragon Delves material goes from level 1-12, but I'll be adding adventure options from outside the book, additional stories based on character backstories, and a custom ending that will see our campaign continue as long as needed, likely ending somewhere between 17 and 20th level.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey folks. If you’re reading this, then you’re probably considering me as your next dungeon master. I really appreciate your consideration, and I’ll try to make this worth your while. So, without further ado, I'm Timothy. And yes. Some people DO call me Tim. I’ve been playing D&D through the various editions for 25 years or so, and have been the DM for most of that. My greatest accomplishment is hooking my extended family, which has netted me the job of DMing for 7 family members on at least a weekly basis for the last few years. I’ve DMed for everyone from newcomers and eight year olds (both mentally and literally) all the way to crotchety old veterans. I spend far too much of my down time worrying about how I can make my game better. Frankly, I am obsessed with chasing that perfect session where everyone goes home and raves about it for years. I’m a bit of a rules encyclopedia, though I’m not afraid to admit I’m fallible. I’m willing to stretch things and say “yes, and...” in the name of a good story, and also willing to say “no, but...” to further that same goal. I encourage role play over roll play, but don't force people out of their comfort zones. I love to tie backgrounds and PC interests into the main storyline, or scrap the main storyline in favor of the pc’s. I believe that if you're paying for a DM, you're paying for a professional. To me, that means you can expect me to ACT professionally, even when we're having fun. You won't hear me cuss, gripe and complain about other players, and I'll generally treat you like the valuable customer you really are. If you’re looking for a DM who will customize the game to your tastes and truly care that you walk away satisfied week after week, I’m the guy you’re looking for.

Creating your character
Characters will be created during/after our Session 0 on D&D Beyond. We'll be deciding statistic arrays, available legacy rules, and house rules during that discounted session. I supply all WotC products on D&D Beyond, but not all rules are equally available, we'll talk about that at Session 0!
The story begins! Join our crew of misfits and misanthropes to delve into the lairs of dragons in a sweeping story throughout the Moonshae isles and beyond!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All links will be provided to join our Foundry VTT through Forge Hosting, Syrinscape for sound effects and ambiance, and the Discord server where we will both handle voice communications, record keeping, and mid-week conversations.
What Timothy brings to the table
I am a significantly Rules as Written focused DM with a willingness to bend to the Rule of Cool where it is fun and where the rules fail us. I make my best attempt at character voices and believe that the story you're hoping to tell with your character is just as important as the story we have agreed to craft together in the campaign. Expect laughter, serious moments, tense combat, and fun as a priority at my table.
Homebrew rules
We will determine any homebrew rules at our session 0. Some usuals at my table include a DC 12 saving throw when pushed off something to catch the edge and avoid instant-death by gravity, and a removal of the "cap" on falling damage dice.

How Timothy creates a safe table
My focus is on your enjoyment. We will discuss any potential issues at Session 0, and I am always available and open to hear about anything that makes you uncomfortable and willing to adjust as necessary to ensure you're having a good time.
