Monster of the Week - It's Gonna Get Weird! [Campaign]

The man in the photo, the phone booth that calls your name.. It's just an urban legend. Just hearsay.. just fiction. But it won't let you go.

About the adventure

"Have you seen this man?" You've probably asked and asked, over and over now. You've showed this photograph plenty of times to friends and family who all brush it off. Gone into a rabbit hole of old papers and bizarre forums. Eventually you find people like you. People like you who have one thing in common. A tall man in a striped shirt appears in photos taken of them. None of you knows who this man is. But he makes you feel uneasy. __ "It's Gonna Get Weird" is a Monster of the Week campaign set in a small, quaint and spiritualist town in England. This campaign has the typical Monster of The Week formula with an overarching story that ties it all together. Inspired by the strange mysteries of the X-Files, the Twilight Zone and indie horror fiction, the tone of this game is set to be eerie and mysterious.

About me

Hello, I'm Dominik (or Domi for short.) I've been into TTRPGs for over a decade now. Starting with DnD and later getting absorbed into World Of Darkness. I am queer and neurodivergent (ADHD) myself, so my table has always had a focus on being a welcoming safe space! If you're looking for a story rich game, with a bit of combat drizzled in, I'm your GM! ____ All listing thumbnails are artwork drawn by me, or photograph collages edited by me, unless stated otherwise.

Character creation

Creating your character

Having a basic character concept in mind is ok, but the second half of session 0 is dedicated to character creation. I suggest waiting until then. I suggest all of your characters have some connection to the small town the setting takes place in.
