About the adventure
Nestled in the northern region of Andoran, the region known as Darkmoon Vale lies, from the city of Olfden to Droskar's Craig, and the dark woods in-between; the region has recently found itself in turmoil. Thankfully there is a group of adventurers that have decided to take on the challenge and will soon go from novices to near gods; as the campaign goes from level 1 to 20. The game is High Fantasy with many magic and unique items. Horror aspects can be found throughout the campaign, and becomes more prevalent as the story advances. The world is full of unique and interesting NPCs, with many already built and I have a standing rule that is an NPC has a name, they get a miniature. (Or at least a image of a miniature lol) I am looking to run this game as Play by Post on my Discord server.

About me
My roleplaying experience began when I was 15, 30 years ago, when my brother brought 2nd edition d&d back from the army. Even though it was just us playing, I had a lot of fun as I would build entire groups of characters and play all of them. In a way that was my first step towards becoming a DM. I was always good at keeping many characters in mind and switching between them easily. A few years later I joined my, then, permanent group; which was very hack and slash in nature. I would always play rp heavy characters like rogues and bards; as I cared more about story than combat. About ten years later I left the group after a few Red Flags were crossed in a severe way, which they didn't wish to correct. (SA in a game, and I was targeted because I was not okay with it.) After leaving the group, I started my own group as the DM. Eventually life took that group apart, but it got me really into DMing. I started running play by post games on my Discord and have DM'd at conventions a few times. Nowadays I have three loves, Roleplaying, Discgolf, and Poker; and spend all my available time learning and growing in each of these. For my intended campaigns; I seek to start with what I know first; Discord and running either my existing campaign of several modules; running from lv 1 to 20, or to build a custom campaign for the group after asking a series of questions to create the world with a bit of everything the players want to see. Creating your character
DnDBeyond should be used for character creation, with Point Buy for Stats. The game will be played on Discord and will be Play by Post. The group will begin in the Lumber Town of Falcon's Hallow and deal with many dangers from both in and out of town. We will meet before that first season to work on characters and backstories; so that they mesh well with the world around them. The game begins at Level 1 and is intended to run all the way to Level 20. Any non-homebrew books for character creations will be used. You can use both 2014 and 2024 rules for your character.

What Robert H Reaper brings to the table
I will use maps, either from modules or custom made, to help guide the players through the theater of mind. NPCs, with names, will have Heroforge miniature images to represent them. I play Rule of Cool over Rules as Written; but rely on Rules as Written when doing regular actions.
Homebrew rules
Custom items and monsters/NPCs will be used during the campaign. Drinking potions count as a 'Item interaction', which each character gets one a round for free. Important NPCs get Deathsaves.
