About the adventure
Waterdeep: the City of Splendours, the Jewel of the North, and to you, home. This magical metropolis is home to a dizzying diversity of folks, from the mysterious Masked Lords to the rough-and-tumble fortune-seekers knocking back ale at the Yawning Portal Tavern. A simple quest is about to throw you and your allies into a web of secret conspiracies. There is a secret treasure at the heart of the city- and no shortage of unsavoury characters itching to claim it. An urban caper awaits you that will test your wits, your bravery and your principles in equal measure. But be warned: the movers and shakers of Waterdeep can be powerful friends or deadly enemies! ~~ Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is an urban fantasy adventure spanning levels 1-5. As well as combat and dungeon crawling, there is a strong focus on social interaction, roleplaying and factional play. Our campaign will be using 2024 rules (see below for more) We are aiming for the 10th of January 2026 for our first session. Additionally, W:DH will be followed up by the sequel campaign Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage, a quirky, hazardous dungeon-crawler spanning levels 5-20. If you so wish, you can continue on to W:DotMM with the same character from W:DH. LGBTQ+ and Beginners Welcome!

About me
(Games will be played using Roll20 for VTT, D&DBeyond for character sheets and content sharing and Discord for voice chat and logs) Add me: xiaofang64 Hello! My name is Benjamin. I have been playing D&D for a while, and have seriously started GMing since 2020! My love of literature means that crafting a compelling narrative driven by your character will be a top priority. My love of philosophy means that you will be given the space to explore ethical questions through your character's experiences. And finally, my experience as a teacher means that I'm already well used to preparing tailored content to engage groups for hours! I hope to roll with you soon!
