About the adventure

TO LIVE AND DIE IN NIGHT CITY A Cyberpunk RED Campaign Welcome to Night City—a sprawl of chrome, blood, and shattered dreams where survival is never guaranteed, and making it big means stepping over a hundred bodies, maybe even your own. You're not a legend. Yet. You're street trash—broke, wired, hungry. Chasing gigs, scoring eddies, dodging corpos, and trying not to catch a bullet behind the ear before you’ve even made a name for yourself. But in this city, style is power, and ambition is currency. If you’ve got the guts, you might claw your way out of the dirt and into the gleaming heights of the Executive Zone. Or die trying. WHAT KIND OF GAME IS THIS? Beginner-friendly: Whether you're new to Cyberpunk RED or TTRPGs altogether, this campaign is designed to ease you in. We'll learn the system together at the table, with an emphasis on fun and cinematic storytelling over rules mastery. Session Zero will cover the rules, setting basics, and character creation. Want help building your edgerunner? I’ve got you. Want to bring something pre-made? No problem—we’ll shape it together. WHAT TO EXPECT: A gritty sandbox-style campaign where you decide the direction of the story. Want to stick it to a corpo? Hunt a rogue AI? Open a club? Run a gang? Do it. The world will react. A strong mix of roleplay, character development, and explosive action in a high-style, cinematic tone. An evolving world full of Fixers, Nomads, gangs, corps, and ghosts from the Time of the Red—all ready to use you, burn you, or be taken for a ride. Character agency at the center of everything. The more initiative you take, the more the city opens up to you—dangerous, seductive, unforgiving. THE PULSE OF NIGHT CITY: This is a story about grit. About waking up hungover in a coffin motel, jacking into the local net to steal paydata, and dodging bullets from a booster gang you crossed last week. About grabbing every chance at glory and flipping off death when it comes knocking. But it’s also about hope. The hope that someday you’ll live in a tower with your name on it. That you'll do more than just survive. That maybe, just maybe, you’ll matter. TO LIVE AND DIE... In Night City, there are only two certainties: style matters, and everything has a price. You won’t live forever—but maybe, just maybe, you'll live loud enough that the city remembers your name. Gear up. Slot your chrome. Burn bright. The streets are calling.

About me

Hey, I'm Mobi! I've been a Dungeon Master for over 20 years now, running all kinds of games in all kinds of systems. I've hosted everything from quick one-shots to campaigns that last for years—my longest one ran for about three and a half years straight. I love building worlds, telling stories, and watching players bring them to life in ways I never expected. I found out that working as a production manager in the film industry sharpens your skills as a Dungeon Master by honing your ability to juggle complex logistics, manage diverse personalities, and craft immersive narratives under pressure. You can expect plenty of cinematic sequences and detailed descriptions in my games, along with fleshed out npcs with their own life and agenda. At my table, everyone's welcome—no matter your background, beliefs, or experience level. The only rule is mutual respect. If you're here to have fun and treat others well, you're in the right place.

Character creation

Creating your character

We’ll kick things off with a Session 0—a chill, collaborative dive into the rules, character creation, and some juicy Night City lore to get you into that high-tech, low-life headspace. Want to build your character together during the session? Perfect. Already have a cybered-out concept in mind? Bring it along and we’ll fine-tune it to slot into the story. Got ideas for your character’s background, secrets, or vendettas? I’m always down to talk. Whether it’s late-night brainstorms or midweek inspiration dumps, I’m here to help you flesh out your edgerunner and weave them into the neon-soaked chaos of the campaign.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll only need an internet connection, a discord account (free) and a mic. I'll provide the software (which is free for players) and all digital resources (books, supplements, DLCs, etc.). I'm also widely available for inquiries and chatter about your character or the story via discord. Be sure to add me on Discord @jmmobilio so we can talk all things cyberpunk and ttrpg related!

What Mobi brings to the table

As a Game Master, I adhere to the rules as written to maintain consistency and fairness, grounding my ttrpg campaigns in a structured framework that players can trust. This approach ensures everyone understands the mechanics and can strategize accordingly, fostering a balanced game. However, I embrace the "rule of cool" when it enhances the story, allowing epic, memorable moments that prioritize narrative excitement over strict adherence—like letting a player pull off a daring, physics-defying stunt if it fits the drama of a climactic scene. Additionally, when situations arise where no clear ruling exists, I make on-the-spot judgments based on the spirit of the game, drawing on my production manager instincts to keep the session flowing smoothly while ensuring the ruling feels fair and supports the story’s momentum.

Safety

How Mobi creates a safe table

We will be using the Lines and Veils system before session 0. At any moment players can take a break for whatever time they need, I'll run your character to the best of my ability or suggest a collective break if the situation merits it. After each session, I love doing a quick debrief to hear about your experience, make sure everyone had a blast, and figure out how we can keep making the game even better. I don't tolerate any and all forms of bullying, discrimination or grifter type behavior at my games. My ultimate goal is for my players to always have fun and feel safe when we gather to roleplay and won't hesitate to eject anyone who disrupts it.
