Creating your character

This campaign has dozens of custom classes, species, archtypes, backgrounds, feats, spells, etc. All of which are available on my Discord server for all players. We will discuss character creation options once you have signed up and had a chance to browse the discord a bit.

Preparing for the session

You will need the following: ✦ Fantasy Grounds Unity installed and operational. ✦ Discord, installed and ready to use for voice. ✦ Proper Quality Mic with headset. ✦ High Speed Internet Connection. I do not live stream or record any sessions without prior player consent.

✦ Hand drawn maps and Fantasy Grounds extensions to enhance play. ✦ Syrinscape for theme music and sound effects. ✦ All software and books needed via Fantasy Grounds.

Homebrew rules

Initiative: We reroll imitative every round of combat, this is handled directly by Fantasy Grounds. Delay Turn: When it is your turn in a round you can opt to act later in the round by declaring a lower initiative. Emanation Effects: Once per round damage is the maximum. Skill/Knowledge Checks: You must be proficient in a knowledge or tool to use it. Critical Hits: On a critical hit, the damage is maximum damage plus another die roll instead of doubling dice. Flanking: When a creature and at least one of its allies are adjacent to an enemy and positioned on opposite sides or corners of the enemy's space, they flank that enemy. Attack rolls made by flankers against a flanked enemy have a +1 bonus. A creature does not grant flanking bonus if it is incapacitated, frightened, restrained, or grappled.

As your DM, my top priority is ensuring all players feel safe, respected, and comfortable at the table while diving into this brutal mega-dungeon. Here’s how I foster a welcoming and secure environment, tailored to the unique challenges of Castle Whterock. Respectful Environment: I enforce a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior. All players must respect each other’s pronouns, playstyles, and contributions, creating a collaborative vibe despite Castle Whiterock's competitive survival elements. Tone Management: The dungeon’s oppressive atmosphere can feel heavy. I’ll balance grim moments with lighter interactions in Cillamar's Hold, encouraging roleplay and camaraderie to offset the tension. Inclusivity: I welcome players of all experience levels, ensuring newbies feel supported with D&D 5E mechanics and veterans can shine tactically. I’ll provide pre-generated characters if desired or guide character creation to suit the dungeon’s challenges.
