About the adventure
🕰️ The Town Where Nothing Goes Wrong A whimsical one-shot of love, laughter, and déjà vu. Perfect for new comers to Daggerheart. Please note this will be very combat lite with one possible combat encounter. The main focus will be on solving a puzzle and heavy roleplay. Welcome to Happy Hills, a charming little village where nothing ever goes wrong. The sun always shines, the flowers are always in bloom, and today - of all days - is perfect for a wedding. The bride beams, the groom glows, and the townsfolk are positively radiant. It’s idyllic… almost too idyllic. But as the day unfolds, something feels off. Time itself seems to hold its breath. A spilled drink, a missed speech, a tear that shouldn’t have been shed—and suddenly the morning begins again. The bells ring, the breeze stirs, and the mayor greets you as if for the very first time. In this cozy - yet chaotic one-shot - your band of adventurers must navigate the most important day in Happy Hills history: keeping the perfect wedding from falling apart. Can you stop heartbreak, mischief, and manure from ruining the festivities? Can you mend what’s broken when time refuses to move forward? Play it for laughs, lean into the love story, or unravel the strange pattern beneath the town’s flawless façade. Whether you’re a hopeless romantic, a mystery-lover, or a fan of narrative puzzles, The Town Where Nothing Goes Wrong is a heart-warming (and occasionally heart-resetting) tale where the only thing standing between joy and disaster… is you. This is due to be a zany, funny, unique one shot, with open ended puzzles crammed with rom com tropes and time loop shenanigans.

About me
Hi there thanks for finding me. I’ve been running a DND campaign as a DM for almost two years with a group and have joined a second group as a player. I have been exploring Daggerheart as a system and is my new passion! I believe every game is a story we tell together: equal parts laughter, drama, and “wait, did that just happen?!” I thrive on bringing characters to life, weaving your backstories into the world, and throwing in the right mix of heart and chaos to keep everyone on their toes.

Creating your character
You will be able to create a character within Demiplane. Once you are signed up I will send links to create it and content share with you for the campaign. We will import your character and it's portrait directly into Roll20.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Roll20 for maps and integrated rolling through Demiplane. You will be able to roll directly from your characters sheet. For ease of communication between the group, I will also link you to my discord server where you can either Direct Message me or use the group channel.
What GM DarkSpyder brings to the table
My games are a mix of rules-as-written clarity but more leans into the Rule of Cool, ensuring you’ll always get both fairness and epic player moments. You can expect: 🎠NPC Voices & Roleplay – I bring characters to life with distinct voices, mannerisms, and personality so every NPC feels memorable. 🎶 Atmospheric Immersion – Ambient music and sound effects set the tone. 🗺️ Dynamic Virtual Maps – Roll20 maps with animations, tokens, and interactive elements to keep both roleplay tactile and visually exciting. 🎲 Fear & Hope Trackers – Core to Daggerheart, I’ll use clear trackers so the tension of every roll is front and centre. ⚔️ Tactical Combat & Roleplay Balance – Expect challenging fights that reward teamwork, interspersed with deep roleplay opportunities that let your choices shape the world. My GM style leans into player spotlight: everyone will get moments to shine, and the story grows from your decisions. If you enjoyed Groundhog Day, enjoy zany fun and cinematic storytelling, you’ll feel right at home.
Homebrew rules
Daggerheart is built to be flexible, and I embrace that. The core rules will always be honoured so players feel grounded, but I also make use of the system’s adaptability to keep things exciting and tailored to the story we’re telling.

How GM DarkSpyder creates a safe table
For any campaign to be successful and enjoyable, player comfort is essential. My table is built on the idea that everyone should feel safe, respected, and able to enjoy themselves fully. There is no planned controversial content as part of this one-shot. It is a fun, low key role play heavy rom com. However, via direct message at the start, I’ll confirm any content you may find triggering or explore as a line or veil. X-Card Tool – At any point during play, you can type or say “X” to immediately shift the scene or skip content without question or explanation needed. Collaborative Respect – If uncomfortable themes do come up, we’ll move past them quickly and adjust together. Everyone’s voice matters. Content Awareness – This one-shot does not include controversial or sensitive material by design. The focus is on adventure, tension, and fun. My goal is to make sure the only chills you feel are from the story itself, not from being put in an uncomfortable spot.
