About GM DarkSpyder
Hi there thanks for finding me. I’ve been running a DND campaign as a DM for almost two years with a group and have joined a second group as a player. I have been exploring Daggerheart as a system and is my new passion! I believe every game is a story we tell together: equal parts laughter, drama, and “wait, did that just happen?!” I thrive on bringing characters to life, weaving your backstories into the world, and throwing in the right mix of heart and chaos to keep everyone on their toes.

planning the games 😅! Spending time with my daughter and working.
How GM DarkSpyder runs games
As a GM, I will use humour and I’m warm, energetic, and endlessly curious about the stories players want to tell. My sessions will be full of cinematic moments, quirky NPCs, interesting enemies to dispatch and plenty of room for players to shine. What I Offer Daggerheart One-Shots & Campaigns. Whether you’re curious to try it out or looking for a longer adventure, I’ll attempt to guide you through the rules and keep things flowing smoothly. I put a lot of time and prep into everything I run but leave enough room for creative player decisions and interactions.

I once ran a session...
where one player was cursed and tortured by the song Last Christmas by Wham! They did kill Santa but at what cost...
I prep by
digging deep into the lore, finding music and tracks that inspire emotions and talking and reading in role as the NPCs within the world. This sets the playing field but the game is directed by the players and how they then choose to interact.
My favorite trope is...
a betrayal within the world. A trusty NPC, a mentor. Someone that has gained your trust has other intentions. That and a classic gather at a tavern start.
GM DarkSpyder's ideal table
My table is all about having a laugh while getting stuck into a proper story. I like it when people really bring their characters to life, whether that’s through roleplay, daft choices, or throwing themselves into the chaos of combat. Don’t worry about doing fancy accents or being “theatre-level” serious — enthusiasm and leaning into the moment is what makes it fun. I’ll always try to pull your character’s backstory into the bigger picture so you feel like you’re not just along for the ride, but helping steer it. The players who fit best are the ones who like a mix of things: roleplay, combat, exploration, and a bit of banter. If you can laugh at your own bad rolls, enjoy cheering on someone else’s cool moment, and aren’t afraid of the odd emotional gut punch when the story goes there, you’ll fit right in. Respect at the table is a must — everyone deserves their moment to shine — but outside of that, expect a fair bit of ridiculousness. The vibe? Think epic storytelling with a dash of chaos. NPCs with personality, fights that feel cinematic, and plenty of “did we really just do that?” moments. It’s light-hearted and welcoming, but when things get serious, you’ll feel it. Basically: come ready for big heroics, bigger laughs, and the kind of stories you’ll be quoting back at each other for ages.

I am for a vibe that's...
like a blockbuster movie that occasionally trips over its own shoelaces. A critical failure can sometimes outshine a critical success.
I love it when a player
thinks outside the box and tries to solve problems creatively.
