About the adventure
The Breakfast Club, but make it horror... Something’s never been right in Temkin Valley. The remote village surrounded by hilly forests may seem quiet and charming, but something sinister lurks beneath and tonight you’ll have to stop it from being raised. You’ll all be playing high school students trapped in detention on a Friday night. While your friends are starting their weekends, you’re stuck in Potemkin High’s library with Mr. Mann, your hot-tempered gym teacher. But just when you think you’re about to lose yourself to boredom, things get very interesting— too interesting. Teachers are gathering, but this is no ordinary staff meeting. You can hear their quiet chants echoing below the library and then… a scream! Note: Since this is a scheduled one-shot, I was not planning on doing a full session zero, but if players have time, I can do a free mini session zero prior to session day to help with character creation and chat a bit about the game!

About me
Hello! I'm Stazie (she/they) I'm a queer femme who has been enjoying TTRPGs since I was a kid. I've been DMing for 6 years, but have always done some form of storytelling throughout my life. When I'm not doing TTRPGs you can usually find me making art, writing, reading, playing video games, or watching my favorite TV shows, or pretending I'm a lil fairy hiking in the woods.

Creating your character
I've written up easy-to-follow instructions for character creation and will provide the character sheets and any other info you may need. I love when people get detailed, so feel free to add on extra character details. In this game in particular, instead of a powered NPC character, I'm going to have y'all create a character you all have a connection to. Additionally, I keep a list of picrews to suggest if you want to get visual with what your character looks like. Note: Since this is a scheduled one-shot, I was not planning on doing a full session zero, but if players have time, I can do a free mini session zero prior to session day to help with character creation and chat a bit about the game
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I'll send you an invite to my Discord server and get you set up from there. You do not need to use video, I don't feel the need to, but having a decent mic and headphones will help make things easier for communication. If I do end up using Owlbear for maps, you won't have to make an account, but you can if you'd like. And bring your dice if you want! I allow physical dice!
What Stazie brings to the table
- Interesting NPCs with a variety of voices and personalities to help the world feel alive - Curated playlists - Roleplay heavy scenes - Rule of cool when applicable; the story is more important than strict mechanics. - Dialogue time to develop relationships between characters - I am mostly a theater of the mind girly, but I may create maps depending on the situation. - Efficient fight scenes, I try to avoid long ones unless it's for dramatic reasons - In-depth world building and lore - Sound effects to deepen the experience - Discord bots for rolling dice, unless you'd prefer to use your physical ones because I know a lot of us are excited to put some of those pretty dice to use!
Homebrew rules
List: - Still kids, but no bikes! You'll be indoors for this one. - Instead of a powered NPC character, I'm going to have y'all create an NPC you all have a connection to. Note: In general, I appreciate having the rulebook to make characters, and have a framework, but I can be very mechanics-light. I don't like when they get in the way of the story and roleplaying, so I may toss out or change a rule or two while we're in game if it feels like it's impeding things.

How Stazie creates a safe table
I want to make sure everyone's comfortable! Lines & veils will be collected through a google form, you can leave your identity off of it if you're more comfortable with that. Either way, I'll list them collectively and anonymously for everyone at the table to be aware of. You can always message me if anything is not sitting well with you, I am very accommodating! You can also step away at any time. I will have a scheduled break mid-session and check in with everyone after session. I try my best to foster a welcoming, cozy table.
