About the adventure
Message me with any questions! Link to a Google Drive folder showing what my games look like right here - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12Mt9ci_2LYBCXZVGpgZeGcWff_HjMyyb?usp=drive_link The Fatalist Guild accepts the lost, unimportant, and ridiculous quests. The leaders of the Guild believe that these things must be looked into. The smallest indication that true evil is afoot and growing in power is usually from the most unexpected places and people, and this Guild wants to stop any evil entities from rising in secret. Many within the Guild take this work as seriously as life and death while many others will joke and trip into a solution along the way, both are acceptable for the Fatalist Guild's needs. You'll find solutions to problems that the average adventurer couldn't solve. These gigs might seem unnecessary, or the reward isn’t great, or it’s too far away from anywhere important. Being in the Fatalist Guild means you won't have any logistical problems like that, you only need to focus on saving lives and being yourselves to solve problems! This game shares a setting with the sibling Fatalist Guild game, you and your party can indirectly interact with other parties taking on quests in the Charcoal Isles, a number of floating islands rotating in a staircase formation around an active super volcano. The likelihood of playing with them directly through One Shots or in a combined player group session depends on player availability.

About me
I am a fun over anything else kind of Gamemaster. I am excited to introduce new people to the concept of a TTRPG, and I am excited to surprise experienced players with challenging conflicts to overcome. I am currently running 2 full D&D5e Campaigns on Thursdays and Mondays, and have open games on other days of the week. I am considering opening a Fabula Ultima campaign when I feel prepared to run a campaign in that system. Creating your character
Starting level is 3-5 depending on the party. I will help new players create their characters! This Campaign can reach Level 20. Point Buy stats! Maxed out fixed HP at all Levels. Take an extra Feat at Level 1. No Eberron Mark options for character creation, everything else WotC official is fine. Homebrew must be discussed with GM. You will also gain extra Gold specifically for the sake of purchasing extra non-magic items such as weapons, armor, etc, the amount of Gold you'll receive is based on your primary Class. Your INT modifier (such as +1, +2, +3, +4, +5,) is also a number of points you can spend on proficiency/expertise. 1 point may give you proficiency for a skill (like Insight or Animal Handling,) a weapon/armor, a tool, or a language, and you can use a point to gain expertise in a skill/tool you're already proficient in.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a computer to use Foundry, phones or tablets won't work properly. Surprisingly Steam Decks work fine! You need a Discord account for communication. Any setup without an echo or miscellaneous sound often is all we're looking for! You have to bring your willingness to have fun!
What Electrorocket [Jake] brings to the table
FoundryVTT for making 5e even easier to play. DungeonDraft for making some nice looking combat maps. Occasional background ambient soundscapes, and music. Combat is a mix of difficult tactical decisions and rule of cool. If it makes too much sense and it's creative, I'm likely to approve in some way. Roleplaying is mainly through voice so I will attempt to voice act using as many unique inventive voices and mannerisms I can muster. I place a lot of effort into making the game immersive and the audio/voices of the NPC and world are half the game! I also attempt to provide interesting visuals and useful tools for accessing information during sessions pretty constantly, we're playing online, that stuff is really important!

Safety
How Electrorocket [Jake] creates a safe table
My games are all-inclusive, anyone can sign up to play. I do not allow harassment of any kind, but friendly banter is always accepted. Chill out, slip into character, and have fun with new friends. During, before, and after Session 0 will discuss various safety topics to ensure that fun is the only option when we're playing D&D5e!
