About the adventure
Welcome! This game takes place in my own custom world! You and your companions have raised the ire of a witch, and have been turned into beasts. Yet, you still retain the memories and talents of your normal selves. Somehow, in the forest, swamps and mountains around her hut, you must find a way to regain your bodies. You must survive the beasts of the land, water and sky as you try to find the answers to defeat the witch, and reclaim your former selves. Just be sure not to succumb to your animal instincts along the way...

About me
I have loved DND since I first started playing some years ago. I've been a player for a long time, and have DM'ed off and on. I love all the stories we can tell with DND, and the cooperative story telling DND offers is amazing to me. In spare time I cuddle with my adorable kitty, and play Baldur's Gate. My day job is the gloriously dull work of retail.

Creating your character
After being turned into a beast, you can use the species from the Humblewood module, such as crows, foxes, owls, hedgehog and more. If wanting anything specific let me know, I'll see if it will work. All 2014 classes are permitted. Starting stats will be decided by the array of 8, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 17. You will then add racial bonuses on top of that. Your character also will need a reason to have run afoul of this witch of the woods.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have accounts on roll20 and discord, and a working mic.
What Dylan brings to the table
I strive to provide all my players a great time, and as much player freedom as I possibly can. In this game and all my games I will do my best to make your character important to the world, a living piece that can affect the story in ways others wouldn't expect. If a rule isn't fun for my players, and we can make it work, I'm happy to change or even throw it out. My combat is often rules as written but I'm eager to change things if someone gets a clever, cool idea. I also have music in mind for various scenarios, to help set the mood, and do my best at voices, but I admit it's something I'm still beginning with.
Homebrew rules
Potions the player character drinks will be a bonus action. Bardic inspiration can be an action or bonus action as well. Intimidation can be used with charisma or the strength stat, depending on how exactly you do it. Monks gain extra Ki points equal to their WIS modifier.

Safety
How Dylan creates a safe table
At our session zero we will have a moment to talk about all things that might make anyone uncomfortable. Anyone and everyone may say whatever they feel with that, and may say so publicly and privately. No explanation will be needed, only will need to let me know and it will happen. During a session, any player can also post an "X" if anything is bothering them for any reason.
