About the adventure
Waterdeep Dragon Heist is an epic adventure that cuts through the undercity of Waterdeep where you get to play all the sides of a huge gang war between all the factions. Will you choose to side with the City and its people, the Open Lords that aim to gain control through political warfare, the independent factions that are trying to keep as much peace as they can, or the underbelly that kills and steals their way to the top? Play all the sides, join one faction, or create your own as you find where the Dragon Heist Vault is hiding its million gold and legendary artifacts. The story evolves to how you play it and the factions can gain or lose control over the city based on who you side with! You need to be cunning and use your wits as your opponents are much stronger than you with already established gangs, fighting head on won't always work.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a friendly, easy going, and fun full time professional Game Master that loves voice acting and story writing. My passion for DnD has led me to be an Adventurer for 12 years and Dungeon Master for 7. I've run Homebrew and Official Campaign modules for years with my favorite part of TTRPGs being the community I get to play with and run campaigns for. I'd love to get you meet you and run a fun, vast, and immersive campaign together! My campaigns tend to be more intense, serious, gritty, and horror themed so if that sounds great to you, I would love to have you join in on my community!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
You can bring a pre-created character of any official DnD 5e ruling (although I ban the Flying trait/feat as it breaks the immersion of the campaign and can ruin it for everyone) or we can build a character together during session 0. I have helped make over 100 characters so I am more than happy to help you find what you will enjoy the most!
The Party consists of a Barbarian, Artificer, Paladin, and Wizard. They are level 3 and just started the module.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All players need to do is join the Discord Server and Roll20 Campaign. I can do everything else that is required so its not extra pressure on you. Bring your A-game and your best attitude! This is a puzzling and mysterious campaign with a lot of twists and turns. Webcams (optional) and Mics help create a more fun and immersive atmosphere, I only request you must have a working mic (Webcam is optional if the entire group wants to use them). I have a large majority of DnD 5e ruling memorized and the compendium next to me at all times so if you need help with anything at any time, I'm always able to help. Players will create their characters together during session 0 to create a strong group dynamic and immersive character goals/plots. I use Roll20 and Discord as my methods for Roleplaying so if you can make an account on both platforms (both are completely free!) it would be greatly appreciated! Roll20 has its own dice rolling system that is shown to the party but if you enjoy rolling your own dice I will use the honor system and expect you to play fair. Cheating only hurts you by breaking your immersion and making it a less surreal and fun experience!
What Coach OBubby brings to the table
I have a long history with photoshop and can make content to help players feel immersed and included. I make token art for players characters to stand out on roll20. I have the Roll20 Subscription and map pack for campaigns that have full handouts, art, tokens, and maps for exploring and combat! All you need to do is join the lobby and its all there for your enjoyment!
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion yourself is an Action and/or Bonus Action; giving it to someone else is still always an Action. Anyone can use spell scrolls. Death Saves become more difficult each time you get downed but instant death has been removed. You can cast a leveled spell as an Action and as a Bonus Action as long as you follow Action Economy. (Like what Baulder's Gate 3 does)

How Coach OBubby creates a safe table
Content Warning: Horror, Gore, Violence, Drugs, Language, and Sexual content Safety Tools will be: 1. ZERO tolerance policy for player on player combat/attacks. The majority of players do not enjoy being attacked or betrayed by their teammates and it can instantly ruin entire campaigns. I have experienced this too many times. If you want to be a Chaotic Evil Rogue that steals everything and kills everything, then steal everything and kill everyone that ISN'T in your party please. Thank you 2. Session 0 to make sure everyone is happy and content with playing the campaign as intended with its original story and that players are feeling happy and welcomed with the groups atmosphere. 3. Breaks as needed, especially if for medical reasons. I can run sessions pretty long without getting tired BUT I understand not everyone can do that. If you need food, drinks, bathroom breaks, or to go for a walk please feel free and open to communicate that with me and the group. No one will be judged for needing a moment to themselves especially after a tough or difficult situation in the game. I can tend to bring characters and NPCs to life and some people find themselves needing a small break if one of them dies. 4. Open Door Policy. Basically as stated above. 5. Post-Game Debriefing. I love running sessions and making everyone feel as welcomed and happy as possible but sometimes things go unnoticed. When there is a break or the session is over, I am always happy and willing to talk with the party about the contents of the session in any manner. I do plead that you keep it positive and no one fights. If you enjoyed something and want more of it, if you felt like there wasn't enough of something, or you feel overlooked; please let me know! I want everyone to have the most fun possible!
