Tales of Trawlbight | A Stardew Valley Inspired Adventure
The deal was sweet, a free farm in exchange for slaying the occasional monster. If only it were that simple. Trawlbight offers much, much more.

About the adventure
The Abacas Coast, a quaint region to the very north of the continent, sporting stunning views, exotic wildlife, and mysteries buried right below the surface. There were benefits to being on the edge of the Empire; Imperial overreach was non-existent and so the towns were more or less free to self-govern. Though the lack of overreach coincided with a lack of support and protection from the Capital, towns were left to defend themselves against the monsters the world had to offer. And so, an initiative was started. Towns around the Abacas Coast would offer land to adventurers in exchange for their protection, giving them the opportunity to start farms and guilds. Recently, a plot of land in the town of Trawlbight opened up, and the townsfolk were quick to offer it to any adventurers who were willing to call Trawlbight their new home. Though a boring life on the farm is the last thing awaiting the adventurers who accept the land. Trawlbight is a town steeped in mystery, with a long history of occult and darkness waiting to be uncovered. Tales of Trawlbight is a campaign heavily inspired by games such as Stardew Valley and Sun Haven. The game will consist of myself and four to six players using the Fabula Ultima system starting at level 5, we will play for three hours every week (which will be discussed further in session 0.) With a cost of $15 USD a week, though session 0 will be free and a full refund will be issued to anyone who wishes to leave before session 3. The game will not start until January though character and game discussions can start as soon as players join. FoundryVTT will be used for maps, music and character sheets while Discord will be used for voices.

About me
My years of GMing have taught me many things, like how handing player a sad wet dog of a man is the easiest way to create an NPC they'll love, and Mimics make for great pets. I love making and running games that truly feel like a collaborative effort, a game that players can become immersed in. Hi! I'm Rex! I'm 25 and an AroAce theatre nerd who loves ttrpgs. I've been playing ttrpgs for about a decade now and have been a GM for most of that time. I live in France studying to be an English teacher though grew up in Australia so English is my first language. I love creating stories and acting, with Voice Acting being a hobby of mine. I'm a huge fan of roleplay in games and could spend hours roleplaying if given the chance. I've run and played in various systems, and so I have experience to run games in those systems as well as help new players learn them. The systems I'm familiar with include: Alice Is Missing Anime Campaign (Epithets) Daggerheart Demigods Digimon: Digital Adventure Dungeons and Dragons (5e) Fabula Ultima Masks: A New Generation Monster of the Week Mutants and Masterminds Pokemon Tabletop Adventures 2 Pokemon Tabletop United You Awaken in a Strange Place

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during session 0, though you are allowed to create characters in advance. Characters will start at level 5 and I allow all official content including expansions. I will be available to message at any point before session 0 to ask questions about character concepts.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need to have a discord account, as well as a mic, doesn't need to be an expensive mic but does need to at least be audible over discord. We will be using FoundryVTT though players don't need an account.
What Rex brings to the table
This game will take place on FoundryVTT with maps, music and tokens, and Discord for voices. My GM style tends to be more whimsical with a focus on Characters and Story, there will be plenty of characters to meet and endless mysteries to uncover. While I believe combat to be my weakest field when it comes to TTRPGs, I strive to make it interesting for my players, though the game is very likely going to skew towards roleplay.
Homebrew rules
Any possible Homebrew rules can brought up and discussed during session 0 to see what people would like. I'm happy to include Homebrew rules suggested by players if everyone is in agreement for it being added.
