About the adventure

Step into Wildemount, a land of ancient magic, restless gods, and rising conflict. From the frozen wastes of the Greying Wildlands to the glittering cities of the Dwendalian Empire and the war-scarred fields of Xhorhas, Wildemount is a place where the choices of a few can change the course of nations. The world is alive with danger and wonder; ruins whisper with forgotten secrets, monsters stalk the roads, and powers both divine and forbidden wait for those bold enough to claim them. This game blends adventure, politics, and mystery. Some sessions may find you navigating a courtly intrigue, others delving into ancient ruins, or defending villages on the edge of war. Expect a balance of exploration, roleplay, and combat, with your characters’ personal stories woven into the larger events shaping the continent. Here, your actions will matter; not just to the fate of your party, but to the very future of Wildemount.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be done via a session zero. It will use 4d6 remove the lowest for the stats. You roll two sets and choose a set you like. If both sets are not to your liking you can use Standard Array or Point Buy instead. We will discuss characters/lore and backgrounds during session zero and afterwards we will have a one on one to get extra details conformed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Accounts for Roll20, Discord, D&D Beyond Downloading an Beyond 20. Microphone of decent quality without background noise interrupting. Push-to-Talk enabled. You dont need to have an extra character but have some ideas in mind that we can work on.

What Ditzy brings to the table

We use ambient music from a discord bot that will play in the background. The focus is always more towards roleplay, fun and having character progression being in the foreground. Your backstory will come up and have impact on the world and your own character.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew rules are pretty standard with the bonus action potions being standard. Most homebrew will be discussed at table and will be setup depending on player wants and needs.

Safety

How Ditzy creates a safe table

Safety tools are very fluid when it comes to tables. We normally discuss a standard set of safety tools but they will come to a case by case basis when adding new ones. The standard tools are as follows Line and Veils: lines are hard limits that you don’t want to see at all. Veils are fade-to-black moments. Luxdon technique: in the games, there can be content that is upsetting (i.e. favorite npc death, horrible things happen). For a good story, these things can happen. This technique means that we take a break after those moments to recover if it’s needed. If you need a break from a game and leave for two to three weeks and you inform Ditzy, that conversation can happen. Fifteen minute breaks occur approximately halfway through the session. There’s also a fifteen minute opening to just chat and ease into the game Extra safety tools can be added anytime, open to conversations
