About the adventure

Whatever truth lies buried within, the Descent calls to the bold, the desperate, and the damned. Adventurers from across the world flock to Valmere, seeking fortune, glory, or redemption in its depths. Every generation leaves its mark — guilds rise and fall, heroes vanish without a trace, and the city thrives on the promise of what waits below. Yet those who return from the shadows speak of a presence beneath the stone… something vast and ancient that dreams in silence. Whispers tell of a flame that can never die, a heartbeat that shakes the mountain, and a dragon whose name was once spoken as a prayer — and later as a curse. About me
I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 1990, with experience in 1st, 2nd, 3.0, 3.5, and now 5th edition. Out of all that time, I’ve spent over 20 years as a DM, and while I’m still new-ish to the online DM world, I bring a lifetime of passion and storytelling to the table. I love a good balance of roleplay and combat, and I’m flexible with both experience-based and milestone leveling. I currently use Discord and D&D Beyond, along with the VTT, for communication and character management. As a parent of young children, I may occasionally need a quick 2–5 minute break during sessions to check on them—thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Most importantly, I believe in creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all players. I’m proudly pro-LGBTQ+, and I won’t tolerate any form of hateful or offensive behavior at my table. Players will make the characters using D&D beyond. Level 1 with max HP. You can either roll for stats, use point buy, or use standard array it's your choice. 2014 or 2024 rules. Standard equipment.
