About the adventure
Step into the 1920s and experience a classic Call of Cthulhu scenario — the perfect way to get familiar with the game! This short adventure makes it easy for you to learn the system while diving into roleplaying, investigation, conflict resolution, and of course… a few sanity rolls. No prior experience is needed — you’ll pick up the basics as you play. Choose from several pre-generated investigators, and we’ll be ready to start in about 15 minutes. The whole mystery can be completed in one evening and works perfectly with one or two players.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi — I'm Jacek (he/him), your new Game Master! Whether you’re seeking eldritch mysteries, gritty horror, or cozy investigation, I’m here to guide you through compelling stories with heart and tension. I started my adventure in mid 90s when I ran my first games - AD&D 2e and Call of Cthulhu and basically became forever GM as this is what I enjoy most about roleplaying. I most enjoy and regularly run Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green, Mothership, Laundry and Dragonbane. I got a dog called Migo, I love getting lost during long hikes in the woods and enjoy long distance trail running.

Creating your character
You will either choose from available pregen characters or create during the game (it should be fairly quick).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Communication (voice and video) will be run via Discord. Game itself will be held on Foundry (I will provide link along with password before the game). Reading Lovecraft story before will be a good idea but no lore or system knowledge is required.
What Jacek brings to the table
I rather go with rule of cool and try not to focus too long on any rule problems (but I do like to clarify any issues after the game). When possible I try to avoid pushing tokens around the map. If there is combat and it is possible I rather would run theatre of the mind than moving bits around. I utility some music and sound effects for the mood.
Homebrew rules
No homebrew rules but if you have something to propose I'm all ears.

Safety
How Jacek creates a safe table
We can utility X card - both physical (prepare one beforehand) and virtual. Game is horror but don't expect any sexual content nor any morbid terrors. Any racist stuff from the past doesn't happen at my table on purpose. This is a quick one shot so no session zero will be in place but we will start with a quick chat to know each other and set any expectations.
