About the adventure

Seek the Myths. Honour the Seers. Protect the Realm. This is your Oath fare Knights. The Seer's council has seen fit to send you in company to the realm of Braytark, where the previous group of Knights tragically lost their lives upholding this very same Oath. What awaits when you arrive - only the Seers might know - but it will take every bit of skill to survive and reshape the Realm! ------------ What is Mythic Bastionland? ------------ In Mythic Bastionland, you take the role of a wandering knight sworn to uphold oaths in a realm that is vast, strange, and perilous. The land is old, haunted by half-forgotten myths and shaped by the weight of broken promises. Seers whisper visions of what may come, rulers struggle to manage their holdings, and the common folk look to your banner for hope. The game is for those who want to explore a world that feels both intimate and mythic; where stories are not written ahead of time but discovered in play. Players will find themselves shaping the Realm as much as it shapes them: swearing a mighty Oath, seeking counsel from Seers, clashing with rival Knights, and venturing into the uncanny Myths of yore. At the table, Mythic Bastionland is best played with a sense of discovery, where players embrace uncertainty and I, as the GM, will also be rolling to see what happens. If you enjoy a game where exploration and story grow together—half written by myth, half forged by your choices—then take up your sword, swear your Oath, and ride into the Realm. ------------ What is needed to play? ------------ Character creation is fast and simple with 72 Knights exuding style and evocative powers: you roll a d6 and d12 and BAM! you've got your Knight! The four main stats are rolled and you've got a ready to play character in under 5 minutes! But what about character progression you ask? Mythic Bastionland, more than anything else, is a story of how the Realm changes over time - because your character's choices matter. Your Knight will grow old and die needing a successor; collecting enough Glory can see Knights taking on ruling Holdings and shaping the course of entire cities; and Myths or Threads left unchecked will mar the land as the seasons march steadily onward. YOU are an agent of change, and it is your story and choices that shape the legends told by the campfires of the Realm. We use a Discord server for voice, and in my case video (you can join if you are comfortable!), and a Virtual Tabletop website called Owlbear Rodeo to present our map. Both of these are free tools and easy to set up. ------------ What now? ------------ Come join us for an incredible sandbox experience, where player agency and choices will have a lasting impact on YOUR world. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out, otherwise I hope to see you IN THE REALM!

About me

From cozy one-shots to high-stakes campaigns, I bring energy, creativity, and a love of storytelling to every table. Hi, I’m Andrew — lifelong gamer and storyteller. From painting my first Warhammer minis to collecting Pokémon cards and building a board game library, I’ve always been drawn to worlds overflowing with imagination. My first TTRPG was Call of Cthulhu during a university anthropology course in 2010 (best homework ever), and I’ve been hooked ever since. Since then I’ve run everything from indie gems (Dread, Godbound, Mythic Bastionland) to big systems like Star Wars FFG and old-school OSR favorites (Mork Borg). What defines my tables isn’t the rule set, but the experience: immersive soundscapes, evocative visuals, and character-driven moments that make the story feel alive. Whether you’re looking for a cozy, low-stakes one-shot or a high-tension campaign where fate hangs by a thread, I’ll bring the tools and energy to anchor you in the world and keep the adventure flowing. Let’s tell a story you’ll remember long after the dice stop rolling.

What Andrew | Mamachew brings to the table

The Realm is ready—filled with characters, hazards, and secrets. The only thing missing is your Company of Knights and the Myths we’ll uncover together! I’ll bring the world to life with visuals in Owlbear Rodeo, character voices, and ambient sounds through KenkuFM on Discord. I’ll usually keep my camera on (since I get animated in play), but no pressure if you’d rather not. We’ll be using the streamlined Mythic Bastionland rules, with the Quickstart linked for you to preview. If anything is unclear, we’ll note it and keep the game moving—the focus is on a relaxed environment and staying engaged in the moment. In return, I ask only a few things: - Be punctual (I’ll be early and ready). - Be engaged (limit distractions as I will too). - Be kind (we’re here to enjoy the story together).
