About the adventure

>> We expect to start this game no earlier than October 24. Set sail for the Bloodlace Sea, where pirates chase glory, gold, and the occasional cursed artifact. In this swashbuckling adventure, you’ll brave haunted islands, bargain with sea witches, and outwit rival captains—all while trying not to get eaten by something with too many eyes. Play as daring rogues, runaway nobles, rum-soaked mystics, or sea monster whisperers, and chart your course through a world of bold choices, legendary loot, and ship-shaking sea battles. 😎 VIBE CHECK We're a relaxed group out to tell a weird and wild story of pirates sailing into the unknown. Join our fun and exciting crew and see where the winds may take you! About me

I've been playing various forms of role-playing games formally for more than 2 decades, including online, written, table top, and more, while informally, I've been playing and performing roles all my life. I love creating and sharing stories, all the more so when the players truly become part of the world by surprising me with their choices. Professionally, I have a background in history and am a recently-recovering educator, and I bring both to the gaming table by helping players learn the game and developing unique and non-standard worlds and stories while using a teach-as-we-go method for new players.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will choose from among 9 playbooks representing different pirate archetypes. During our session zero, we will discuss and connect the characters along with their ship as we begin the adventure as an existing team. Players will be able to consider and discuss their playbook concepts before the session, but we will finalize during session zero.
