About the adventure

The port town of Saltmarsh, This fishing community has a tradition of being a starting point for incredible adventures. Historically, Saltmarsh and the dangers facing its people provided a widening sphere of adventure, with increasingly dire threats drawing heroes to explore more of the coast of the Azure Sea. Ghosts of Saltmarsh continues that tradition, presenting a portion of the coastal lands of Keoland, a kingdom in the Greyhawk setting. Each adventure notes where that story might unfold in the region around Saltmarsh, providing a shared setting for them all. Starting at level 1 you will explore the lands and help the locals. What will you find as you level up? Ships, the sea, a ruined abbey, the only way you will find out is by joining us.

About me

Hi, I'm Dale. I have been DMing D&D for 6 years and have loved every minute of gaming I have had. Last year I decided to take a break from DMing (and took some time to play instead!), but I'm back now with more ideas than ever! I run D&D 2014 and 2024, and I'm looking at doing some Discworld, too, in the near future. I would definitely consider my style of DMing to be reactive to the story and rule of cool over the written rule. I have a special interest in the Napoleonic wars, and quite a lot of my oneshots have their roots in it, I look forward to making some memories with you all

Character creation

Creating your character

Before the game starts, you will need to make a Level 1 Character. Any book you have access to can be used. I will be mainly using 2024 rules, but you can make a 2014 character if you want. If you need help, I will guide you through the process, offering advice and insight, but ultimately the decisions are yours. Standard array or points buy for stats

How D B creates a safe table

I run an open-door policy; you can leave at any time during gameplay without issue. I will also check in with each player before their 1st session and ask if there are any topics to avoid, and my DM's are allways open if you need to talk to me about anything
