About me

Hello! My name is Addin Vang. I've loved tabletop games since I was a teenager. During the pandemic, I had a wonderful opportunity to DM an online game that lasted over a year. For another two years after that, I played in games as a player and DM for games that included adults and teenagers. I am very passionate about helping youth and young people experience joy and fun through self-expression and fulfillment.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session 0 to go over characters and discuss safety and expectations. I will send an invite to my campaign through DnDBeyond where you create your own character. Stats will be Standard Array starting at level 1 using the 2014 Core Rules.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

✅ Microphone ✅ D&D Beyond account ✅ Discord account ✅ Roll20 account ✅ Beyond 20 extension (available on Google Chrome or Firefox)

What Addin brings to the table

I provide a relaxed yet engaging space full of fun and silliness. This is a campaign meant for beginners so there will be lots of grace to practice. I love creating an immersive world which would include detailed maps, descriptive world-building, diverse character voices, ambient music, tactical and creative combat situations, and more! I prefer using the Rule of Cool for most situations because it promotes player creativity and fun!

Safety

How Addin creates a safe table

Safety is incredibly important for my games. Firstly, I will be sending links to my Monte Cook RPG checklist which includes Lines and Viels before the start of the campaign. Session 0 will discuss the overall safety and expectations, ensuring all players are on the same page regarding the rules and standards of the campaign. Additionally, we can go over our characters and any other questions and concerns. We will have at least one break per game. I will incorporate the Open Door policy meaning a player can take a break anytime without any judgment.
