About the adventure
How did you get yourself into this mess? All you wanted was to be a simple freelancer, roaming the galaxy doing odd jobs. But no... You just had to get recruited by an elite operative of the galactic government. And then the geth attacked. One month later, the galactic government is in disarray, there's soldiers everywhere, the threat of another attack by the rogue AI collective is in the air, some human named Shepard is all over the news, and you... Well, you're roaming the galaxy, doing odd jobs for your boss. It's just that these jobs seem to have a high casualty rate. Welcome to the Irregulars. IRREGULARS is a galaxy-spanning campaign that uses the ME5e system, taking the mechanics of D&D 5e and applying them to the sprawling galaxy of one of the best sci-fi games of all time. With custom species, classes, and equipment, all meant to invoke the classic look and feel of the original ME trilogy, you can build your character and embark on missions across the Milky Way. Discover uncharted planets, uncover ancient secrets and deadly conspiracies, rise in reputation until your name is praised (or feared...) across the galaxy. Just remember. Always stay low, check your ammo, mind your vacuum seals, and never ever insult a krogan holding a shotgun.

About me
Building cities that bleed since 2005. Hi, I'm Marko. You're here because you're curious and I'm here because I love to tell stories. I've been doing it for two decades, mostly focusing on Vampire: The Masquerade and Vampire: The Requiem, with a bit of Mass Effect as a palate cleanser. I enjoy dark fantasy and have a heavy focus on roleplay, so my campaigns are always atmospheric and moody, with narration designed to push the players into a truly living world. My background in psychology and teaching helps me focus on each player individually, and I love using music and visual aids to immerse the players even more. The most important thing, however, is this: Escapism is king. There are no thinly veiled allegories in my games, no commentaries on real-world issues, no deliberate parallels to anything. Just a group of people getting together to tell a story full of drama and conflict, and have fun doing it. In my experience, this simple truth keeps the table safe and enjoyable. Creating your character
Characters will be level 3 at the beginning of their first mission. A detailed character creation guide is available for each player when they sign up for the session. You don't need a 5-page backstory, but if you want, go for it! I'm available to message on Discord for any assistance with the character creation process.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need three things: DISCORD - We'll use it for voice communication, so you need a mic. Video is not required, so cameras are completely optional. ROLL20 - Visuals, combat, and other in-universe tidbits of info will be shared through Roll20. You don't need in-depth knowledge of the platform, just a free account. IMAGINATION - Goes without saying! You don't need to know anything about Dungeons & Dragons 5e, or even about the Mass Effect setting, really. A positive attitude is usually more than enough. When you sign up for the adventure, you will receive detailed info, including links to chartacter sheets, documents, and our Discord server.

The content warnings listed below are just a general overview. Not all of them will appear in the same session or maybe at all. As always, we'll use safety tools to tailor the sessions for the smoothest and most enjoyable experience. Of course, you can always contact me prior to the session and give me your preferences. The goal is a fun game! Role-playing games offer an escape from the real world and its troubles. Even though the Mass Effect galaxy can be gritty at times, there are absolutely zero allusions to real life in the game and the potentially problematic views of some (villainous) NPCs are in no way connected to it. We're enjoying some well-deserved escapism, not debating politics. Likewise, any above-table intolerant remarks or behavior will result in the player's removal. Be nice!
