About the adventure
Beginner-Friendly, BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ Friendly As a group of Licensed Autonomous Zone Effectuators (Lasers), you are freelancers under contracts from various local planetary officials. Handle the tasks too tough, weird or baffling for the locals. The Mohilar war is over and the Combine is focusing on the core, but that just means opportunities for enterprising freelancers like you. Even if you have never played a GUMSHOE game before, now is the time to learn this the influential system and Ashen Stars is an ideal first game in the system. The is an inclusive game environment. All participants should feel accepted, respected and appreciated. The diversity of the group allows the play we have to be more encompassing and fun.

About me
I have been playing role playing games since picking up Moldvay's Basic DnD box set. I have run a wide variety of games since: AD&D 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions, Space 1889 (Savage Worlds edition), GURPS 3rd edition, World of Darkness games, Call of Cthulhu, Ashen Stars (Gumshoe), The Kerberos Club (Fate Edition), Shadowrun 4th edition, 13th Age, and Shadow of the Demon Lord. I also enjoy facilitating more narrative games like Annalise, Shock, 3:16, Apocalypse World, Monster of the Week, Monster Hearts, Remember Tomorrow, Microscope, World Wide Wrestling 2e, Spione, Penny for My Thoughts, and Dirty Secrets. I bring a wide range of experience from a lot of different types of games run. And the most important thing still is that everyone in the session enjoys themselves.

Creating your character
I will provide pregenerated characters. If you want to generate your own character, Ashen Stars has a crew based system that ensures all important skills for a ship are covered by the group. This also ties into GUMSHOE's investigation skills to ensure full coverage by the group.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will be using Foundry VTT to run this game. Foundry runs in your browser and is optimized for laptop/desktop environments. In addition to that, you would need a microphone and webcam.
What Aaron Scott brings to the table
I will be using Ashen Stars for this game. So this game will help new players learn the GUMSHOE system and can take that to other games like Trail of Cthulhu or Night's Black Agents I will be utilizing ambient music.

How Aaron Scott creates a safe table
We will go over X, N and O usage before play. So everyone is on the same page. Lines and veils will also be discussed before play. Keep in mind that this game is for all ages so adult content is a hard line for this game. Anything too adult for a PG-13 film would pass that line.
