About Aaron Scott
I have been playing role playing games since picking up Moldvay's Basic DnD box set. I have run a wide variety of games since: AD&D 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions, Space 1889 (Savage Worlds edition), GURPS 3rd edition, World of Darkness games, Call of Cthulhu, Ashen Stars (Gumshoe), The Kerberos Club (Fate Edition), Shadowrun 4th edition, 13th Age, and Shadow of the Demon Lord. I also enjoy facilitating more narrative games like Annalise, Shock, 3:16, Apocalypse World, Monster of the Week, Monster Hearts, Remember Tomorrow, Microscope, World Wide Wrestling 2e, Spione, Penny for My Thoughts, and Dirty Secrets. I bring a wide range of experience from a lot of different types of games run. And the most important thing still is that everyone in the session enjoys themselves.

I got started GMing...
Because I read a lot as a kid. I got into reading Choose Your Own Adventures then Endless Quest books from TSR and moved into Fighting Fantasy and Lone Wolf gamebooks. From gamebooks I picked up Dungeons and Dragons Basic set and started running games since there were no GMs around.
How Aaron Scott runs games
I like centering the players in the games that I run. Each character is a story waiting to be realized through play. We play to see what happens. I enjoy running the system as it is. That could mean tactical grid based combat in something like DnD 4e or narrative intraparty conflict in Smallville. I enjoy being put on my toes and improvising responses when players take actions that I didn't anticipate. I enjoy rewarding creative play. I enjoy teaching people new games. I enjoy learning about amazing combinations of powers found by players. My "secret sauce" in being a GM is to give each player what brings them fun in a session.
