About the adventure

🎪Wild Beyond the Witchlight is a wickedly whimsical Faerûnian adventure. It starts at The Witchlight Carnival, a traveling extravaganza that only visits this world once every 8 years for a mere 8 hours. Though many secrets lie beyond the masks and facepaint of the carnival, you will need to uncover them if you wish to complete your quests.🎪 🎭This module is fairly roleplay heavy, as the module itself is built with the ability to be completed without ever having lifted a bludgeon or blade. That doesn't mean you won't be fighting at all however it just means there is always a peaceful solution to every encounter. I welcome one and all to join my table, whether you're a beginner on their first campaign who needs a lot more help or a seasoned veteran with over a thousand sessions under your belt.🎭 🎟️As a DM I tend to focus more on player agency than anything else, giving you total freedom to decide where and when the party goes somewhere and how they deal with the events that come up. I may nudge you in a direction and offer advice when asked but the decision is ultimately your own. So, what are you waiting for? About me

I've been playing tabletop games almost my whole life in varying capacities, however I only picked up DND in high school during my freshman year. I was taught most of what I know today from my DM at the time. My junior year is when I picked up the curse of being a GM since then I've been running games on and off depending on the availability of my friends. Now I'm looking to improve upon my skills as a GM by running more games for more people, possibly making a few friends along the way while enjoying the hobby we all love to immerse ourselves in. I may have 5 years of experience as a GM but I always have room to improve and I'm looking to improve with every session I host.

Character creation

Creating your character

I recommend using the Character bulilder I will provide to you in my discord though you may use D&D beyond or a form fillable pdf if you wish however, I do not have any D&D Beyond resources I only have my physical ones and Foundry. Character Creation will be partially discussed during session zero however some of the options available to you are - Start at level 3 - Free Feat - Firearms - Variant Attunement - Starting Uncommon magical item (Must be linked to your backstory!) - Advanced Array or Group rolling (decided by the group)

Homebrew rules

-Actions can be used as a bonus action. -Bonus action consumables (Mainly edible items like potions). -Better health potions, out of combat you get max rolls. -Minimum Crit, when you crit you get at LEAST max damage of a normal roll. -Exploding Crits, Double dice Max rolls roll again. -Turn Holding, you may hold your turn and use it after somebody else’s turn. -Variant Attunement, Attunement is equal to proficiency modifier.
