About the adventure

Red Hand of Doom: A Heroic Campaign Against an Onslaught of Evil. The land is quiet... for now. But on the horizon, a storm brews. An ancient evil has awakened, and a tide of blood is poised to wash over the peaceful valley of Elsir Vale. A savage goblinoid horde, the Red Hand, marches under the banner of the dragon god Tiamat. Their goal? To raze cities, crush kingdoms, and rebuild the world in their image. And unless a band of unlikely heroes rises to stop them, no one will survive the coming war. Red Hand of Doom is a dynamic, story-driven campaign set in the beloved Elsir Vale - a region of fortified towns, wild woods, ancient ruins, and political tension. This high-stakes adventure is a classic tale of good versus evil, built on exploration, tactical combat, and tough moral choices. Will you raise an army to defend the Vale? Will you outwit the Red Hand’s generals before they reach the gates of Brindol? Or will you stand alone against the storm? 🧭 What to Expect Epic Adventure: Battle against the Red Hand in a sprawling war that spans ruined castles, haunted roads, ancient fortresses, and burning towns. Tactical Decisions: Players are not just heroes - they are commanders, spies, and diplomats. Your decisions shape the defense of the Vale. Heroic Progression: Characters begin at Level 5 and rise to Level 10/11, gaining legendary renown as they challenge warbands, dragons, and dark champions. Classic Setting: The Elsir Vale is a grounded and believable region filled with relatable characters and personal stakes. It's a perfect setting for first-timers and veterans alike. 🐉 Are You Ready to Stand Against the Horde? The Red Hand is coming. The skies darken. The drums of war thunder through the valleys. This is not just a fight for treasure - it’s a fight for the soul of a land on the brink of annihilation. You will forge alliances, lead armies, slay monsters, and make impossible choices. Only the bold will survive. Only the brave can turn the tide. Will your name be sung in the songs of the Vale - or forgotten beneath the boots of conquest? About me

Hi, I’m Benjamin Sturge - a lifelong tabletop gaming enthusiast and passionate Dungeon Master. I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since I was 12, and for much of that time I’ve been behind the DM screen, crafting worlds, guiding stories, and helping players of all ages and experience levels find their place at the table. I love sharing this hobby because D&D is more than just a game - it’s a chance to unleash your imagination, develop teamwork and social skills, and be part of a creative, like-minded community. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of running games for a diverse range of players, including those with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and other neurodivergences. My goal is always to make every table welcoming, inclusive, and fun. Outside of the gaming world, I hold a B.Sc. in Statistics and Economics and an M.A. in Economics from Memorial University. My professional background includes work with universities, non-profits, private businesses, and government. I also have experience as a tutor, which has honed my ability to teach, encourage, and adapt to different learning styles - skills I bring to every session I run. Whether you’re brand new to D&D or a seasoned adventurer, I’m here to help you create unforgettable stories together.

What Benjamin Sturge brings to the table

When you sit at my table, you’re not just playing Dungeons & Dragons - you’re stepping into a living, breathing world crafted around your character’s choices, ideals, and backstory. I specialize in weaving deeply immersive narratives where your character’s journey matters. With hundreds of pages of original homebrew content and years of storytelling experience, I create campaigns full of rich lore, meaningful roleplay, and challenging tactical combat. My players often describe my worlds as “vivid” and “alive,” where every NPC feels real, every decision carries weight, and no two adventures are ever the same. My style balances storytelling and strategy. You’ll find yourself navigating heartfelt social interactions one session, then facing intense, tactics-heavy combat the next - all supported by detailed maps, tokens, and visual aids on Roll20 and D&D Beyond. Whether you’re a quiet roleplayer, a combat optimizer, or a new player finding your footing, I make sure everyone at the table feels included and has a chance to shine. As a Dungeon Master, I thrive on collaboration. I encourage creativity, reward clever thinking, and adjust to player choices - even if they take the story in wild, unexpected directions. My goal is to help you bring your character’s dreams, flaws, and ambitions to life in a campaign you’ll remember long after the final session. With over a decade of DMing for players young and old, neurodivergent and neurotypical alike, I bring patience, passion, and a welcoming atmosphere to every game. Whether you’re stepping into D&D for the first time or returning after years away, you’ll find a space at my table to explore, grow, and tell unforgettable stories together.
