About the adventure
A mysterious benefactor is recruiting brave adventurers to delve into the lost burial mounds of an ancient civilization to recover a set of ancestral skulls that are clad in a valuable metal alloy. The skulls are thought to possess immense magical power, and the secrets of their construction are lost to time. The mission requires a journey into the dangerous jungles and swamps of Rharzur, and recovering the skulls will involve infiltrating the tombs which have long since been occupied by hostile creatures. Are you prepared to recover the skulls, and learn of the secrets the mounds hold? This campaign features unique settings evoking the Dark Crystal, Conan, Arthurian Legend, and H.P. Lovecraft. The adventures are adapted from published maps by Dyson's Decahedron, with immersive automation and graphic effects, elaborate and artistic maps, and thematic music and video interactions. I encourage character development and player interaction to determine the course of the campaign. Many quests await, and there will be opportunities for players to choose their path through a dangerous and mysterious realm. Become part of the legend, and join the lore of the Myriad

About me
Looking for players who enjoy dark fantasy and osr style stories, but with modern technology and graphics. Experience engaging, dangerous worlds, clever problem-solving, and choices that really matter. Try out one of my Foundry VTT Games, I go the extra mile preparing full-feature game sessions!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Players should be created on D&D Beyond or in Foundry VTT exported as JSON. I use D&D 5e with Foundry v13 D&D version 5. If you have a particular character you want to make that is customized, we can discuss that. I typically use the "Roll 4, Discard the Lowest" method, but you can do point buy if you prefer, or I can generate a character for you. I like to use D&D Beyond to allow players to access their characters outside of Foundry. I prefer not to have multi-class characters for simplicity, but if you have a certain idea for a character, it is not out of the question.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Create a Character on D&D Beyond or Foundry VTT. I typically use the "Roll 4, Discard the Lowest" method. You will need Discord for voice and communication. I will provide a link to the Foundry Server to access online. I suggest having a capable computer and a decent internet connection, as I sometimes use heavy graphics.
What JS brings to the table
- Immersive, full color maps - Spell and action effects with automation using MidiQOL and Cauldron of Plentiful Resources - Top-down tokens for PCs, NPCs, and Monsters, with automatic rotation - Thematic music, sound effects, and voices - Video and Graphics for key interactions - A unique setting with lore and secrets to discover *Disclaimer: I do use AI generated artwork for some video and graphic presentation, which I also edit and arrange for effect. If you are new to FoundryVTT, I can help you get acquainted with the system. I have been running games on it for a couple of years and I am OK helping people get up and running if they have never used it. The adventures will be based on a modified versions of existing adventures, which I will give players an option to choose.
Homebrew rules
I use "Fumble and Critical Hit" tables to add interest to combat. I also allow advantage on surprise attacks in certain situaltions. I try to observe rules as written for the most part, but defer to "Rule of Cool" and I try to put having fun before strict rulings

How JS creates a safe table
We will have a free Session 0 to get acquainted and discuss the expectations of the group and address concerns about content and subject matters. I will supply ample opportunity to alert me if an issue in the game is uncomfortable or unpleasant for a player.
