About the adventure
The city of Tulara has grown up around a university deep in the desert, providing the school with everything it needs to function in todays world. Rooftop gardens and air catchers keep the interior of the buildings cool and comfortable, while numerous wells provide water to every individual in the city. It is a serene place, lit by thousands of scented oil lamps at night when the weather is more conducive to outdoor activities. Below the calm veneer of deep dignity, however, lie hundreds of years of scandalous secrets. One is a secret so vast it could send ripples throughout the entire kingdom; indeed, it could mean your very life! Explore Tulara to uncover the secrets within, adventuring through ancient tombs, worm-carved tunnnel systems, and throughout the city itself to discover a web of deception reaching all the way up to the highest levels of the city's society!

About me
Our games are personalized and backstory driven, with the characters written right into the main plotline of the story. This is collaborative storytelling at its heart, and as a GM there is nothing better than seeing the PCs take a concept and run with it on their own. What you'll get from me is over forty years of experience, a detailed world fleshed out with custom maps and relatable NPCs, and an over arching plotline that will take your character's wants and needs fully into account. The world will move around you as you adventure, bringing side quests and tangential stories right along with it.

Creating your character
Characters can be any race, creed or build-out, but keep in mind this is a "good" themed campaign

What Harlen brings to the table
As a general rule, I like to say "yes" to players as often as possible. This is a collaborative story we are telling together, and the DM is a player, not an adverasary. My NPCs are often unique and repeating, with the world around the characters moving and shaping itself as they are doing their own thing. The player characters fit into an already moving wheel, as opposed to being the driving force behind the universe. The world is unique and fleshed out, and can surprise you without seeming totally alien. I like to write the characters' backstories right into the main plot, and adjust the outcomes of every encounter based directly on the characters' individual arcs. There can be some salty language so I am setting the game to 18+, although it will not be very effusively so, at all. I run a safe table, which we will go over on session 0, and really enjoy unique character builds. I'm looking forward to playing games with you!

How Harlen creates a safe table
We will be going over safety at session 0, but in a nutshell, if at any time anything makes you uncomfortable, just let me know and it will stop. I do not need your reasonings, and there would be absolu no need for apologies.
