About the adventure
Do you remember Toby’s Playhouse? Of course I do. Wait, was that the show with the Tall Man? The Tall Man? Yeah, the Tall Man - he was so creepy. I remember him. My mom hated when I watched that show. It scared me to death. I could never watch after. I remember it teaching us lessons - the alphabet, math, things like that. No… I remember something else. Like… he was watching me. Through the screen. Toby’s Playhouse was one of the top shows in the 90s - a show that ran for multiple seasons. Featuring child actors every week with a live studio audience as they navigate the world around them, learning lessons from a voice off screen known as The Tall Man. Until it all ended. A fire swept through the set, destroying everything and ending the show for good. But rumors abound about the source - was it one of the kids? Was the fire mysterious? Arson or accident. Nobody knows. Now, years later as adults, the last cast of kids are meeting up for a reunion. The memories are blurry, but they must do this. Right? They need answers, and only the group has them. With dreams of the Tall Man on their mind and memories plaguing them, they only need knowledge. And knowledge is all that alludes them.

We will have a session 0 to create characters and flesh them out. This being said, feel free to make character concepts and even fill out character sheets ahead of time!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a working mic but a webcam is not needed. While I would prefer you have a webcam to read your reactions, if you do not feel comfortable on camera that is completely understandable. You will need a free zoom account as well as a roll20.

How Katy creates a safe table
We will have a session 0 before the actual sessions. This is in order to develop comfort and safety among the players as well as develop backstories and connections amongst player characters. We will also use a living lines & veils document that can change over the course of the game, as well as x,n, and o cards. After session we will use stars and wishes to discuss what the players enjoyed about the session as well as what they would like to strive for in the remaining sessions.
