About the adventure
When their two feuding families forbade them from marrying, Juliana and Orlando ran away together. The families expected them to return or send word, but they have been gone for two years now. Their parents have put aside their differences and want you to venture into the legendary Cave of Echoes to invite them back home. Designed for characters of 6th level, this modern adaptation of a classic D&D adventure has been frequently praised for its magical and enigmatic setting, deep story, and openness to many ways of solving its mysteries and challenges.

Hi, I'm Sofia (she/they). I've played TTRPGs for over 20 years and GMed various systems throughout that time. I run one-shots and campaigns of D&D, Root: The RPG, Avatar Legends, and other systems when opportunities arise. I'm queer, trans, and neurospicy, and love teaching games to new players!

Creating your character
We will talk in advance to work out party composition and character concepts. It would be best if you come to the session with your character mostly built in D&D Beyond, but we can work out the finer details when we get started. Characters will start at level 6. 2024 rules. Point buy system for stats. Average HP. Any non-magic gear allowed plus one rare and one uncommon magic item. Please feel free to message me if you need help or want to clarify any other character building details!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you have an account for D&D Beyond (https://www.dndbeyond.com/) and Roll20 (https://roll20.net/) in advance, and to use the campaign links I'll send to join our campaign. Also join the Discord server and make sure you have voice set up. Video is optional, but encouraged! If you're able to install the Beyond20 plugin to connect Roll20 and D&D Beyond, it will help smooth out using the two sites together, but not strictly required. What cuddlegutz (Sofia) brings to the table
I'll bring all the source books needed via D&D Beyond, as well as providing the Discord server. This adventure will require strategy, role-playing, and creative thinking in addition to combat. Fights and obstacles will be challenging, in service of fun and immersion.

Lines and veils will be discussed at the start of the session, and you can also provide them anonymously. X cards can be used in voice/chat or DMed. If a player needs to step away for any reason but wants the rest of the group to carry on, just say so in chat and let us know when you're back.
