About me

Looking for a DM who's #1 priority is your agency and enjoyment? Then look no further! I'm Taylor or Beptis and I'm a full-time professional Dungeon Master. With my plethora of funny voices and army of little-guys, I try my absolute hardest to immerse and hook you into the setting. On top of that I'm dedicated to making sure your character's aspirations and goals are weaved into the story in a way that you find satisfying. From fun RP and improv, to tear-jerking moments of development, my games are littered with role-playing opportunities that’ll leave you needing a break to contemplate what you say next. A creative and cool story-telling moment will always outshine the rule book. At the end of the day, I just want to tell a one-of-a-kind story with some cool people regardless of any background. So sign up or shoot me a message and let’s play D&D together!

Character creation

Creating your character

You must have a character sheet in the D&DBeyond campaign! Feel free to start creating your character as soon as you sign up. Just remember your character starts at level 3 and: šŸ”† 2024 Classes and Spells (unless the 2024 version of that spell isn't available) šŸ”† Point Buy for stats šŸ”† Start with 50GP and basic starting equipment. šŸ”† Your character's in Sigil now, how they got there or where they're from is up to you. šŸ”† No species/class restriction šŸ”† Only bard can take silvery barbs

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To start playing you'll need to create a character sheet, then join Discord and Roll20. You'll also need a working mic, headphones/earbuds and a computer to access some of these sites. Webcam recommended but absolutely not required!

What Taylor (Beptis) brings to the table

For your enjoyment I provide: šŸ”† A plethora of custom maps, visual aid and a plethora of voices to help with your immersion šŸ”† Homebrew features, items and content to further enhance the Planescape setting šŸ”† An inclusive and safe table to enjoy D&D judgement free in! My style of DMing rewards those who like to try and be creative with their approach to problem solving. The rules are guidelines and can sometimes be twisted to benefit a fun storytelling opportunity.

Homebrew rules

šŸ”† Bonus action to drink a potion yourself šŸ”† We'll vote for critical hit rules at session 0 šŸ”† Natural 1's are always considered failures, while Natural 20's are always considered the best possible outcome. šŸ”† No critical "Fumbles" in combat (your character can't roll a natural 1 and accidentally shoot the barbarian in the leg)

Safety

How Taylor (Beptis) creates a safe table

A session of D&D with me means everyone’s on Discord and Roll20, with their D&DBeyond sheet open, ready to start at the scheduled time. Sessions run 2–3 hours with at least one 10-minute break in the middle to stretch, grab a snack, or take care of anything else. My games lean toward roleplay and exploration, with combat appearing when it serves the story, reinforces the setting’s themes, or becomes unavoidable due to player actions (always aiming for a healthy mix of both). Character death is possible, but in most cases it triggers a ā€œglitchā€ rather than ending your story outright. Your character stays largely the same, but with 1–2 major changes (physical, mental, or narrative) that reflect what they’ve been through. Planescape can touch on many topics, but I keep things lighthearted when possible. In Session 0, we’ll discuss any hard lines or topics to avoid and make sure they stay off the table. With an Open Door policy, you’re welcome to step away anytime, no questions, no judgment. Missing sessions happens, but frequent absences may affect refunds or your spot in the game.
