About the adventure
⭐️ You are a Hero of the Realm, but it came at a terrible price. 🏹 The only option is to traverse the Nine Hells and confront...Him. 😈 Resistance is futile, corruption is certain, damnation is inevitable. Or is it? Team with powerful factions with questionable motivations against a web of corrupt pacts and powerful, seemingly unbeatable forces of evil. Only through trusted teamwork, the skill of combat, the fortitude to find solutions to unsolvable challenges, and the toughness to confront your own weaknesses and inner demons will you succeed against the ultimate "Grandmaster' of manipulations and corruption. "In the depths of Nessus, I sit upon my throne, watching the Great Wheel turn. Every soul, every heartbeat, every fleeting thought is like a delicate note in the symphony of existence. But oh, there is one sensation, one exquisite pleasure that eclipses all others: the corruption of a pure soul."" - Asmodeus

About me
U.S. Navy Submarine Captain that started playing D&D in 1981. Immerse yourself in challenging 3D combat that requires tactical teamwork for victory. Explore and unravel intricate story plot lines set in motion by memorable NPCs. ✔️ Amazing battlemaps are the focus, RP to tie everything together ✔️ Encourages player creativity - "Yes, you can do that!" ✔️ Unique visual aids, ambient music and sound effects 🌐 https://AdmiralAdventures.com/ 🙏 A portion of proceeds supports the Tunnel to Towers Foundation I run most of my campaigns as follows: 📚 Rules as Written (RaW) Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game. ⚔️ Combat Heavy “Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Creating your character
1️⃣ Character creation will occur on DnDBeyond or Roll20 prior to the session. If you have completed the adventure Descent into Avernus, you may use that character for this campaign. Note: The link for the DnDBeyond account access and the link to the Roll20 game will be provided once you have joined the ADMIRAL ADVENTURES discord server and completed the onboarding. Directions are in the "How to Prepare" section of this listing. 2️⃣ Ability Scores will be Standard Array or Point Buy. 3️⃣ PCs start at level 11 with 7,500gp and standard equipment. 4️⃣ Each character will be allowed to pick either 1 very rare magic item and 1 uncommon magic item or 2 rare magic items. Only items from the Dungeon Master’s Guide are allowed. 5️⃣ Unearthed Arcane and any of the new playtest material is NOT allowed. 6️⃣ You must chose a soul to save. You can either choose a loved one whose soul is trapped in the Nine Hells, or you can decide it’s your own soul that is damned and you have been temporarily resurrected. For a loved one, chose from the following: ✅ Brother (Anger) ✅ Bounty (Murder) ✅ Business Partner (Betrayal) ✅ Childhood Friend (Sinless) ✅ Father (Greed) ✅ Mentor (Oppression) ✅ Mother (Pride) ✅ Sister (Jealousy) ✅ Spouse/True Love (Deceit) ✅ Student (Harm) For your own soul, you must pick a sin that consigned your soul to hell. Pick a single sin from the following two lists: Sins to the Other ✅ Betrayal - The Oathbreaker ✅ Deceit - The Great Con ✅ Harm - The Merciless ✅ Murder - Patricide ✅ Oppression - The Heartless Master Sins to the Self ✅ Anger - The Furnace ✅ Greed - The Infinite Treasure ✅ Jealousy - The Queen ✅ Pride - The Chosen One

✅ Enemy Initiative. Vice making "one roll for an entire group of identical creatures," initiative will be rolled for each individual creature or in some cases, for "a formation" of enemy combatants. ✅ Hit Dice Vice rolling the dice after a short rest (page 186 PHB page 67 of the Basic Rules), you can apply the "average" hit dice value + constitution modifier (same rule used for adding HPs when leveling up). ✅ Break Out. Some monster effects that remove a player's ability to take an action by causing them to be paralyzed, charmed, stunned, etc. can be "broken" by suffering psychic damage instead. The damage taken is based on the monster's CR
