About the adventure
A beginner-friendly D&D 5e adventure, set in an original world! The Valley of White Haze has mystified locals for centuries, with few people entering - and even fewer making it out alive. But now, a strange benefactor is recruiting adventurers to expose what lies at the bottom of this valley. This adventure will focus on exploration, survival, and mystery - as your party navigates the hidden secrets of the Valley of White Haze. I am happy to welcome D&D players of all skill and experience levels. Hope to see you there! Session 0 will be free, but I will begin charging $5 per session once everyone is on board with the game.

About me
My name is David, and RPGs have changed my life. I'm sure most people reading this can relate to that statement in some way. I have been playing some form or another of a TTRPG for about five years, and most of that time has been spent as the GM.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session 0, but come prepared with some ideas for the type of character you want to play (backstory, species, appearance, class, etc.)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I play through Discord, so you will need to have an account on that. As for a VTT, I use Owlbear Rodeo, which doesn't require an account for players and is very mobile friendly.
What David brings to the table
I will bring an enthusiastic desire to make everyone have as much fun as possible. I try really hard to do character voices, even if some of them don't sound as good as I would like. I like intense, tactical combat - but I also love it when players roleplay amongst themselves. I believe the rules are flexible, but still important. You will not be expected to know everything about this game - the most important thing is just having fun.
Homebrew rules
Most of the custom rules I use come from NADDPOD: Cleaving with melee attacks, the option to regain spell slots with hit dice during short rests, and using potions as a bonus action. I also give players levels of Exhaustion when they come back from the dead, to give it some stakes.

Safety
How David creates a safe table
Session 0 will be where we discuss everything that is and isn't allowed at the table. I try and take great care to make sure everyone feels included and safe. I once had a player who was afraid of spiders, so I made it so that spiders in my world all look like puppies. If you are ever uncomfortable with anything at my table, please do not hesitate to message me and let me know.
