About the adventure
Christ on a radscorpion. The Mojave's gone completely sideways. That goddamn Courier (the one bastard who might've held this sh*tshow together) is nothing but bleached bones somewhere in the wasteland. And that precious Platinum Chip? Hell, it could be buried under a pile of brahmin crap for all anyone knows. Meanwhile, the Strip glows neon-bright with greed while hulking psychopaths in tin-can armor stomp around playing paladin. The NCR and Legion are polishing their tap shoes for the big dance at Hoover Dam, crime lords are carving up territory with plasma rifles, while some weird freaks blow holes in the hard-pack dirt north of Lake Mead. The whole desert's a powder keg soaked in blood, drugs, and power. Only a matter of time before some damned fool lights the fuse. That fool? That's you.

About me
Hi everyone! My name is Josh, and I've been running games for decades, thinking about games for decades, talking about games for decades, and writing about games for decades. I love just about any science fiction and fantasy setting, and especially love players who get deeply invested in their role play. Here's a short list of what we can do when we play together: ✔️ Big, plot driven stories ✔️ Small, character driven slices of life ✔️ Mix and match game mechanics to provide unique experiences during a campaign ✔️ Science Fiction, Fantasy, Science Fantasy ✔️ Curated music, art, and original story lines ✔️ Ridiculous voice acting Above all, I will make sure that YOU have the most fun and rewarding experience possible. Currently, I'm a friend on the podcast Gaming with Gage and Friends, former host of the Sandbox Between Stoplights podcast. I've helped develop multiple RPGs, settings, and campaigns. I have helped organize and put on gaming conventions, and I've been professional GMing for about 6 years. I also wrote a setting book: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/m/product/462282

Creating your character
We'll build your characters together during Session Zero. Where we'll also be creating the party as a whole. Here's what we'll figure out as a group: Where you come from - Are you NCR citizens? Vault dwellers? Tribal outcasts? Wastelanders who've seen too much? A mix of the above? Why you're working together - What brought this ragtag group together? Shared enemies? A common goal? Mutual desperation? Faction allegiances - Which major powers do you want to support, oppose, or manipulate? NCR? Mr. House? Independent Vegas? Note on the Legion: We'll only play a Legion-supporting campaign if the entire group unanimously agrees during Session Zero. Otherwise, Caesar and his boys remain the big enemy.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic good enough that everyone can understand you and stable internet connection. We will be using Foundry VTT for the game and Discord for voice. Foundry is a web-based VTT, so all you need is a web browser. It handles characters sheets, dice rolling, and all of the other tools we will need to play. You can learn more here: https://foundryvtt.com/ Discord is an application we use to talk to each other and post funny gifs during the game. You can learn more here: https://discord.com/
What Josh the GM brings to the table
- Foundry VTT License - Maps and artwork based around your characters, Voices, maps, tokens, all the doodads.
Homebrew rules
I lean into Rule of Cool/Rule of Genre much more than Rules as Written, and will use my best judgement to try and keep things fun and moving fast rather than getting bogged down in minutia of rules. To that, we will also be ignoring some of the more punishing optional rules from the book.

How Josh the GM creates a safe table
Before the game begins, I'll reach out to all players individually over Discord to privately discuss content that they might not want in the game. We will be starting with a session zero where we make characters together, discuss content, touch on some table manners, and set the scope and focus of the campaign. Once we start the campaign proper, we'll be using a stoplight system to help us moderate anything going on during a session.
