About the adventure
Stranded beyond an unending storm with no way home, your party must survive in a wild and unfamiliar land. After scraping together the bare necessities, you recall the true reason you came here: to uncover the source of the eternal tempest. Understanding it may be the only path back to civilizationâor to something greater. This D&D campaign centers on survival and exploration, grounded in gritty realism but streamlined for strong narrative flow. Journeys through untamed wilderness will be punctuated by encountersâcombat, discovery, roleplayâbut also by quiet moments of reflection. Around campfires or atop tamed beasts, weâll dive into your charactersâ pasts through flashbacks, shaping who they are and what drives them forward. The game is best suited for players with some D&D experience and a strong love for roleplay. Combat will be present, but not the focus; the heart of the story lies in your charactersâ choices, ambitions, regrets, and bonds forged along the way. If youâre ready to step into the storm, join us.

About me
Heya! Name's Giorgio, but you probably read that already! I've been playing D&D 5e for the majority of 5 years, 4 of them in which I mastered a campaign on my own. I'm looking for like minded people to have fun, yet serious and story heavy campaign, in which we can all paint a beautiful story we'll remember for the rest of our lives! I'm not a native English speaker, but I've spent part of my life consuming English/American media, and English has become my second language over time, although I can get sloppy sometimes, it's just my Italian side raring to go buck wild! I am somewhat young, 24 y.o. , so I don't have that much life experience, but I believe that my strong love for reading, and writing about fictional worlds has led me to experience many different points of view of many different characters. Of course, I'm not saying I'm a master at storytelling, but I give it my best to try and tell good stories. I've been creating and nurturing a homebrew setting from nothing since my first ever campaign. Each time a player creates a new character, a new chapter, aspect and layer of depth is added to the world. In order to flesh out both the character and what they're tied to, I tend to ask a series of questions chosen to help the players clear their idea for the character they plan to play: where they come from, who they are born of, their experiences, and much more... My dream as a DM is creating a good story that will remain with the players for a long time, and I hope you'll help me by creating deep and interesting characters that one day may even interact with characters from previous campaigns!

Creating your character
Character creation will be done on a 1 on 1 call with me on Discord long before the campaign starts! I am more than glad to help you mold your already existing characters into a more lore-suitable version, or I can help you brainstorm ideas for something brand new! All characters will be built either using Point Buy or Standard Stats based on what the majority of players prefer. The characters will be built using D&D 5E and a few homebrew rules (I swear, no major reworks!) and can be easily fit into a D&D Beyond sheet.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord is mandatory, it will hold all the information of the campaign, while all else is totally optional. Given the low amount of combat we will be using Owlbear Rodeo for quick, in-browser fights.
What Giorgio brings to the table
I strongly believe that D&D is an opportunity for people to tell stories, not only for the DM, but for the players. Through our joined effort we will forge the story of your characters, how they interact with the world and with one another, to create believable, memorable and interesting characters. More often than not there will be sessions where the die is rolled less than a dozen times, as I tend to allow players to do almost anything, as long as it fits the moment, the character and the overall tone of the campaign. Rule of Cool also applies quite often, but in more specific cases sticking to the rules can help us traverse to more technical aspects of play.
Homebrew rules
There's a reworked Exhaustion mechanic, allowing players to stack up to 10 levels of exhaustion (Each resulting to a -1 in ALL rolls), so that subclasses/spells/monsters that rely on this mehanic do not get immediately incapacitated. Potions can be drank with a full action to immediately restore the max possible HPs, or drank with a bonus action to roll and see what comes out! We use CRUNCHY crits at our table! (Max damage + roll of the die!)

How Giorgio creates a safe table
After a THOROUGH session 0, expectations will be set, both in regards to what the game will contain and not. The early sessions will almost always see the use of "Stars and Wishes"! I will post links to Google Forms where the players will be asked: what they liked, what they disliked, and what they'd like to see changed/removed. Players are ALWAYS welcome to put the session in full stop and request a 1 on 1 talk with me to resolve in-game tensions or possibly triggering situations.
