About Giorgio
Heya! Name's Giorgio, but you probably read that already! I've been playing D&D 5e for the majority of 5 years, 4 of them in which I mastered a campaign on my own. I'm looking for like minded people to have fun, yet serious and story heavy campaign, in which we can all paint a beautiful story we'll remember for the rest of our lives! I'm not a native English speaker, but I've spent part of my life consuming English/American media, and English has become my second language over time, although I can get sloppy sometimes, it's just my Italian side raring to go buck wild! I am somewhat young, 24 y.o. , so I don't have that much life experience, but I believe that my strong love for reading, and writing about fictional worlds has led me to experience many different points of view of many different characters. Of course, I'm not saying I'm a master at storytelling, but I give it my best to try and tell good stories. I've been creating and nurturing a homebrew setting from nothing since my first ever campaign. Each time a player creates a new character, a new chapter, aspect and layer of depth is added to the world. In order to flesh out both the character and what they're tied to, I tend to ask a series of questions chosen to help the players clear their idea for the character they plan to play: where they come from, who they are born of, their experiences, and much more... My dream as a DM is creating a good story that will remain with the players for a long time, and I hope you'll help me by creating deep and interesting characters that one day may even interact with characters from previous campaigns!

I got started GMing...
When my friends asked me to make a homebrew world. I got so into it I never really stopped!
My favorite shows/movies are
I've always had a special place in my heart for the How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda series, but I've also shed tears for Interstellar, Wild Robot, Forrest Gump, and videogames like most Zeldas, Death Stranding, Undertale and Deltarune.
When I'm not running games I'm...
fantasizing about fictional worlds, either by writing or just cloudgazing!
How Giorgio runs games
I can offer a bit of everything based both of player request and campaign played, but my personal DMing style, tends to be heavily set on RP, having sessions that can even have close to no combat. Roleplaying is as important as exploration, and if there are fights, they have to hold meaning! I personally am not a native English speaker, and maybe it's because of that that I can manage to do a great number of voices and tones depending on what character is currently talking. I also tend to pick table rules that streamline and facilitate roleplaying, and make sure that combat isn't a slow drag, but a fluid, fast paced clash.

I prep by
Laying down while listening to some music with the same vibes I intend to bring to the session, from intense epic movie soundtracks to quiet, melancholic music by artists like Olafur Arnalds, Andrew Prahlow, and many more.
My games focus on...
the stories of the player characters, how they interface with the world, and how they are entangled with the main plot of the world.
Rules are...
suggestions to keep the game fair and balanced for all players, but can be pushed aside in the pursuit of something cool or memorable.
Giorgio's ideal table
I enjoy a table full of people that want to have fun, both for themselves and for the others, me included. As long as everyone remembers that at the end of the day it's a game, we'll have plenty of fun and good memories!

I am for a vibe that's...
relaxed, but actively intrested in exploration, both of the world, its NPCs, history and such, and roleplay!
I love it when a player
Asks lots of questions about my homebrew worlds! It both helps me think about aspects of the world I never thought about before, and helps them further ground their character in the world.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Makes choices that influence other characters without their clear consent. All players should feel comfortable at the table, and thus if someone makes an action that, though justified, may bother or hurt other players, it's usually a big Red Flag.
