Creating your character
Make a level 12 character (5e or OneD&D) with around 500GP of starting gold to use as you wish. If you have custom requests that exceed the limit, I'm open to making exceptions if you communicate them to me. Giving your character a stage name and stage persona is recommended to help you immerse yourself in your gladiator character. I can provide some pre-generated character stablocks, but I recommend you make your own.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The one-shot will be hosted on my Discord server and on Owlbear Rodeo. An account for owlbear rodeo is not needed. Webcams optional.
What Malik brings to the table
A dynamic and detailed arena battlemap, creative enemies, crunchy sound effects galore, and a live sports commentator describing your vicious strikes and spells!
Homebrew rules
- Disadvantage on opportunity attacks to encourage dynamic moment - Standing up from prone triggers opportunity attacks - Drinking potions is a bonus action - Disadvantage and Advantage stacks by +2/-2 for each additional advantage/disadvantage. - Crunchy Crits will be used (for the additional dice you roll for the crit, instead of rolling for it, we just assume the highest number possible for that dice)

How Malik creates a safe table
I made a custom consent checklist that you can fill out and send to me. I'll also quickly have a debrief before the one-shot starts to make sure everyone is on the same page and understands everything, including the VTT for those not familiar with it.
