Well met Adventurers! ✨ Hello everyone! My name is Noodle, and I am your humble Dungeon Master for hire! I have over 25 years of experience leading countless adventurers into dark endless dungeons, navigating political intrigue, solving noir style mysteries, surviving realms of nightmares, and being whisked away into worlds of imagination and wonder. 🎬 Storytelling has been in my life from an incredibly young age. Books and movies were consumed in mass. Video games, with their rich and deep storylines, filled my mind and fueled my creativity. I would endlessly write short stories and comic book adventures. That is, until I played D&D. Immediately, the role of Dungeon Master called to me. The rules of the game are fine and dandy, but what really drew me in was the storytelling. With a whisper and a word, worlds spawned from the corners of my mind. NPC’s come to life and become your greatest companions or your worst villains. A blank room becomes a grand ballroom filled with secrets and espionage. The world is a stage, and all I need is the actors. 📜 My greatest joy is creating a world where players, like YOU, can jump right in and play out your characters greatest adventures. Craft the character of your dreams with goals and flaws and fulfill their story arcs while on a daring high stakes adventure. Creating your character
We will be using Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition (2014) to make characters. I will have form fillable PDF's of the character sheets avaliable. We will be making two sets of characters (one child and one adult) during session 0. If you are new to the game, don't worry! I'll be there with you to help you design and create your characters. Child Characters will be Level 0, and Adult Characters will begin at Level 1. Adult characters can be of any published class and race, and are generated normally using standard array. Although most combat in the game can be avoided with wit and charm, there will be some unavoidable combat so don't make your characters too squishy. I recommend thinking of a character concept (who are you besides your stats? Personality and characteristics), and also think about what has been stolen from you. Make it personal and important to your character. It can be a physical item (like a family ring or necklace) or it can be a personal item (like your memory or your happiness). Creativity definitely encouraged!
This is a group of new players and one well experience player. So a perfect campaign if you are also new or have a little experience under your belt! We'll be starting our session 6 this weekend. The group is still in the first chapter and having a good time! Join in on the fun! The party consists of: Human Rogue, Tiefling Rogue, Satyr Druid, and Kenku Artificer All standard classes and races are accepted. If you sign on, I'll schedule a private 1 on 1 / session 0 for character creation, background, and safety checks!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need Discord as that is the platform we will be playing on. Internet access and the ability to watch streamed footage. Highly recommend a computer monitor or large tablet. Phone may be very hard to use. You will also need a microphone and potentially a camera. I will be on camera and encourage them to be on, but not a requirement. You will also need to be able to fill out the form fillable PDF.
What Noodle brings to the table
I'll provide the PDF's for you to fill out along with clear explanations on how to fill them out during the Session 0. You can expect voice acting for the NPC's, deep and immersive roleplaying, background/ambiant music, and visual aids for combat and ambiance. I encourage live dice rolling, but if you don't have dice thats ok! The discord has a dice rolling bot that is easy to use.
Homebrew rules
While everyone loves to roll high and get Natural 20's (critical sucesses), I find that sometimes the best stories are told through failure. To encourage honesty on the table I impliment a "Failure Token" system. Each time you fail a check (to include saves and attacks) your character earns a Token. The player can cash in those tokens to alter their dice rolls by 1 per token. So if you rolled a 12, and cashed in 6 tokens, the dice is considered an 18 now. I also reward "Inspiration Dice" for excellent Roleplaying choices and for digging deep into your character. These "Dice" can be spent to roll any D20 with Advantage.

How Noodle creates a safe table
When you first sign up to the game I'll have you fill out a survey discussing various comfort levels. We will also open up the floor in the Session 0 to discuss anything not covered in the survey. We will also impliment X, N, and O's via a private DM to me in Discord, and I have an open door policy to message me at any time. I also like to do a check in during the break on Hour 2, and at the end of the session.
