About the adventure
~ Free Session 0 Included ~ "Time After Errata" is a 20–25 session, high-stakes campaign for experienced players who enjoy grim worldbuilding, intense decision-making, and the creeping dread of a 4th-dimensional horror. This is a time-strict, consequence-heavy adventure for the bravest of travelers. The world is changing. No war, no plague, no gods. Just erasure. Regions vanish. Cities disappear off maps. Names are forgotten. You and your party are among the only ones who can still remember what’s been lost. You're not supposed to. You will travel across the ever-shifting and ever-unpredictable continent of Alkora, trying to find and stop whatever is erasing reality itself. Both the central narrative and the Player Character Narratives (optional) will exist both in and out of time, resulting in mind-warping stories that are both laden with tragedy and consequential choice. This adventure is not for the weak of heart, as you may and will deal with moral grey decision-making and high-stress situations consistently throughout the story. This campaign will feature brutal combat and gameplay encounters, as well as an open-world style exploration of the continent, and while not required, a love of roleplay is preferred. This adventure will focus on Player Agency, Permanent Consequence, and Cloying Atmospheric Pressure. It will take over a year from start to finish.

About me
I'm Jayke (they/them), fan of books, music, video games, and, big shocker, tabletop games! Located near Atlanta. Professionally I am a narrative designer, on-and-off experimental poet, and TTRPG writer who creates my own homebrew and working on my own TTRPG system. I'm a self-taught Game Master of 7 years and have run everything from one-shots to year-long running campaigns. I am also a big proponent of player-fantasy first and world-fantasy second. I spend countless hours toiling with players on how they want their character to play and work to create a story they want first and foremost.

Creating your character
During Session 0, we will go over the game and discuss character creation. Since this is a new-player-friendly campaign, we'll take the time to explain character building and design to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I also offer free one-on-ones with players, new or experienced, to help create their character. We will vote on whether Players want to use 5e Rules or OneD&D Rules at Session 0. Characters will start at level 5 for this campaign, and we will be using D&DBeyond to track their progression using Milestone Leveling. This campaign invites complicated characters with backstories as well, so feel free to write your heart out. If there are additional questions, feel free to reach out.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Requirements: 1. Discord account, where we will be in a shared call for play 2. D&DBeyond account, which will be used for character sheets 3. A Quiet Space to play, with little interruption if possible 4. A Computer, Microphone, and Headphones Additionally, I do prefer players showing up 15 minutes before starting time, but I understand that's not always entirely possible, so it is not required.
What Jayke brings to the table
What I provide: 1. Free-to-use browser based Virtual Tabletop (Foundry) 2. Shared D&D content (through D&DBeyond) 3. A Discord chatroom and voice channel for game communication When it comes to the more abstract things: I use a Virtual Avatar of a bear for every game I run so players have a visual aspect to their GM. Additionally I use a open-source bot to play Music and Ambience, as well as doing voices for characters (to the best of my monotone ability). I am a loose rule follower and always prefer "coolness" over by-the-book rules. My only important note is that I don't like argumentation at the table, if there is a conflict I will address it swiftly and immediately to keep the game moving, and I will remove players mid-game if it becomes a problem.
Homebrew rules
1. Death Saves are rolled by me, privately 2. I allow Potions as a bonus action 3. In initiative ties, players can decide to take their turn together, or separately.

Safety
How Jayke creates a safe table
All of my games feature three important safety systems to make sure all players are comfortable: 1. Session 0 Before every game I host a Session 0 to make sure all players are comfortable and have appropriate expectations for play. I also often keep the time open for players to ask questions as well as build their characters. 2. Tabletop Break Around halfway into every session, I host a 15-30 minute break for players to step away to use the bathroom, get more snacks, or just decompress. I have pretty severe social anxiety and understand some players need a break now and then. 3. Debriefing & Aftercare At the end of the session, I open the floor for players to give honest feedback on their experience, whether it be positive or critical. I do this so I can improve my games going forward, but also to make sure no on has a negative experience.
