About the adventure
This is a 1-on-1 play by post (PbP) game. We'll tell an amazing and fun story together. It'll be based entirely on your character, and what they want to discover and accomplish. While there is a deep setting to explore; your story always comes first. I will create NPCs and groups that fit your interests; and give you lots of exciting plots and mysteries to pursue. Each of your adventures will come from the things you discover as you travel through the world. You always get to decide where you go next. My GM style: - rules light - fun comes first - "the rule of cool" - "yes and..." - "no, but..." - player and character focused - always on your side - emotionally intelligent - respectful of boundaries - a great listener - want you to feel seen Every PbP game is run in it's own private channel in my group Discord. I post at least once/day; but I'll try to check in 2-3 times each day if you want to play more often. I will always give you interesting things to explore and interact with; and the story will move forward each day in a meaningful way. (Group PbP and Live Sessions are also available)

Creating your character
You can build your character all on your own, or we can start playing and fill out the character sheet as we go. I'm happy to help you explore your character concept through roleplaying and thoughtful questions. - building for theme and flavor is encouraged - there are no sub-optimal builds - everything will be balanced out in the narrative - the story will be built around your character
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I use Discord (and Owlbear Rodeo is optional) All you need to bring to your first session is a character concept.
What Countess Vines brings to the table
Most of our interactions for this game will be text-based. There will be images and maps and plenty of visual content when it's appropriate. If you really like receiving voice or video notes; I might be able to include some of that as well. The default communication will be text-based.
Homebrew rules
I do use plenty of homebrew rules when they increase the fun or ease of our games. We'll always discuss the rules as we go and agree to them together.

How Countess Vines creates a safe table
All the content for this game will be based around the player and their character. They will take the lead in describing the things that they want to see in their game sessions. We will have a session 0 conversation as we get going. And we'll use X, N, O cards whenever we're in live play; (and they can also be signaled in the chat at any time)
