About me
Hello! I am Jay (they/he) and I would be delighted to run a game for you. I've been running multiple games a week since January 2021; I haven't run out of enthusiasm yet and I don't intend to! 👶 Born 1995 🏳️⚧️ Openly genderfluid 🧑🎓 Studying Spanish and creative writing 🧶 Fibrecraft fan 🎼 Accepting music recommendations Apart from the games you see on this page, I can be available in the European morning/afternoon. Should you have a system you'd love to play but haven't found a GM for, send me a message and I'll see what I can do. ¿Quieres que yo sea narrador de una campaña en español para tí? Tengo alguna experiencia de eso, entonces ¡mándame un mensaje! No soy fluido en español, sino en juegos de rol 😁

Creating your character
You should have a fighting-fit character idea ready for our first meeting. Your level 11 character must be input into Foundry VTT by the end of session 0 (I will help with this!). Players who join later will make characters at the same level as the rest of the party. Rare and uncommon character aspects are theoretically subject to GM approval (but I will probably say yes). We will use the standard 'Boosts & Flaws' method of stat generation (listed here: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2027&NoRedirect=1). You are welcome to use Pathbuilder to design your character. Please check out the Player's Guide for information on appropriate characters: https://paizo.com/community/blog/v5748dyo6shmo?Introducing-the-Fists-of-the-Ruby-Phoenix
The party have just arrived in the capital - where the Ruby Phoenix Tournament begins in mere days. Join the Raucous Concordance to compete with the best! Party composition at level 15: 🐴Eliza Darkmane🔫 - The centaur (sylph) gunslinger who shoves foes across the arena 👹Mizan Honzou🗡️ - The human (hungerseed) witch who mastered the blade 🪭Nocte🔊 - The wayang envoy who frightens with fan-dances
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic and a computer with a web browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox. You will also need accounts with Discord and the Forge (free level is fine). I can send you links to all of these. Not sure if your computer can handle Foundry? Try the demo here in your browser: https://foundryvtt.com/demo I am happy to use video, but you are not obliged to. If you do wish to use video, you will need some kind of webcam. You are highly encouraged to know the Pathfinder 2e rules. Please bring one or more level 11 character concepts, which we will input into Foundry in our session 0. See the Homebrew Rules section for the variant rules we will be using.
What Jay brings to the table
I will provide Foundry virtual tabletop with music, remade maps, and virtual dice. I will also provide lots of enthusiasm! We will be using my Discord server with private channels for the game. Regarding rule adherence: I stick to the rules in combat, but allow cool things that are not game-breaking. Outside of combat things flow a bit more freely, and I love creative solutions! I have run multiple Adventure Paths to completion, including this one, and am open to adjusting or sticking to the story as the party prefers. I am also experienced at running high-level campaigns.
Homebrew rules
- Double Free Archetype (with a small restriction): This means that you get one archetype completely of your choosing, and also one archetype chosen from a list of thematically-appropriate archetypes. These two archetypes are added on top of your normal character build. - Automatic Rune Progression: Potency, Striking, and Resilient runes are automatically given to weapons and armour at appropriate levels. You will still want to pick up skill-bonus magic items! - Gradual Ability Boosts: Ability Boosts will come in at a rate of one boost per level, every level, rather than four boosts every five levels. You get the same number of boosts, but they are more spread out. (https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1300) - Ancestry Paragon: You start level one with two Ancestry Feats, and gain a new one every odd-numbered level. This means at level 11 you will have seven Ancestry Feats. (https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1336)

Safety
How Jay creates a safe table
Our first meeting will be a session 0. We will discuss safety tools, session length and campaign expectations, and any character set-up that needs doing - we will also establish the links between your characters during this session. Safety tools: all lines and veils (i.e. things you don't want in the game) should be sent to me, and I will anonymise them and ensure the group is aware of where not to tread. We will also have an anonymous X-card button available, and the N- and O-cards can be typed into chat or my DMs at any point. The content warnings include the most significant 'warning-worthy' topics in the campaign. If there are other content warnings you need to know about, please let me know and we can discuss how to make you most comfortable. I am also happy to work with players to remove triggering content from the plot, as your fun and comfort is what's most important.
