Creating your character

Character creation will take place during before the game. This ensures that we can dive straight into the adventure at the start. Characters will be created on D&D Beyond. I will be available to assist with character creation, ensuring that your character aligns with both the campaign’s setting and your personal play style.

Preparing for the session

Discord is required. If you do not have TalesSpire you can view it via my discord stream, But it is much better with TaleSpire. We can make a character together or you can bring a character or idea you have. You don't need to use DnD beyond but it is recommended. You can use dice from home, My Discord dice bot, or DnD beyond. It should go without saying but we are LGBT+ & BIPOC Inclusive. If you are not an A**hole you are welcome. <3

Homebrew rules

If you go down in a fight and are picked back up, you gain one level of exhaustion. Nat 1 on a saving throw is a crit Starting Feat (try to tie it to your backstory) On a Crit attack, one die is maxed, and you roll the others. Level 10 attunement feat (up to 6 slots) Extra feats in-game and for some subclasses Currency Conversion: The realm's economic system is standardized as follows: 100 copper (c) = 1 silver (s) 100 silver (s) = 1 gold (g) 100 gold (g) = 1 platinum (p) Everyone can have up to 2 flaws for 2 extra feats If you are proficient, you can swap out the stat you use (swap int for chr when using arcana) A ton of other stuff

Safety Tools & Session Details 🔗 Lines and Veils Document: Prior to our first session, I will provide a link to our Lines and Veils document. This allows you to anonymously outline your boundaries and comfort levels regarding game content. 🛡️ Session 0: When first meeting will be dedicated to establishing our group's dynamics, discussing our Lines and Veils, and ensuring everyone is clear on the tools we'll use to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment. We'll also flesh out character details and set the stage for our adventure in The Veiled Expanse. 💌 Aftercare Communication: After the session, I'll check in via our group chat to address any concerns and discuss the experiences of the session. This is to ensure everyone feels heard and valued, and to adjust future sessions accordingly. 🔘 X, N, & O's: During gameplay, we will use digital tools for X (stop the action), N (pause for adjustment), and O (okay to continue) which you can activate via our game platform's chat feature. This ensures real-time communication of everyone's comfort levels. Gameplay Details 🎲 Mechanics: We will use a blend of traditional D&D 5e rules with some homebrew adjustments to enrich our exploration of The Veiled Expanse. Expect a mix of combat, puzzle-solving, and diplomacy, with a strong emphasis on narrative development. 🗺️ Exploration & Interaction: Players are encouraged to deeply interact with the environment and NPCs.
