About the adventure
Our heroes are summoned to Nasirak, a small island nation in the Sunset Archipelago, to investigate recent disappearances. Unfortunately for them, they could not have predicted exactly what they were going to find. In this seafaring campaign, the Player Characters are small-town heroes that find a thread - A small, easily-overlooked thread - that leads them down a dangerous road. Secret organizations, captains and their crews are tied together in a plan to bring peril to the isles. Can our heroes expose and defeat it before it's too late? āļø Politics: High š Roleplaying: Medium šŖ Tactics: Medium šŖ Player Agency: Yes šŖ Player Hook This is DRAW STEEL! Every player character is a small-h "hero" before the story begins, and have all answered the call to help the port-village of Nasirak. Why is up to you! They could be a sailor between jobs, a passenger on a ship in-port for repairs, a bleeding-heart all the way from Talonsbrook; Whoever they are, they're here to help. Also, given this campaign's emphasis on mystery, it definitely helps if your character is the type to get invested in solving those (and maybe even has a mystery or two of their own to solve while they're at it.)

View Profile āCharacter creation
Creating your character
During our Session 0, we will discuss character backstories and personalities, player expectations / desires, and walk through character creation together. Draw Steel is a brand-new game after all, and I'm so excited to show you the ropes! If we play a few sessions and you realize you picked the wrong class, that's okay; We can change it up. It is far more important to me that your character sheet is reflecting your vision of the character than being strict. If you're joining the campaign after it's already started, we'll create a character together in a 1-on-1 Discord call.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - A mic - A space to play with minimal background noise - A laptop or PC (Most VTTs don't work well on mobile) - A Discord account You may want to: - If you haven't already, have a read-through of the Draw Steel rules or watch some videos about it! I'm more than happy to teach players the game regardless, but it couldn't hurt. - Think about your character before character creation. In Draw Steel, the default assumption is that your character is a Heroic Person. This doesn't mean they aren't complicated, but it's good to keep in mind. - Consider if there is a story direction you want said character to go in, or an area you want to explore that I should know about.
What Cruxien, Orange Wizard brings to the table
This game will feature many of my own original maps as well as the masterful ones from Cze & Peku. I also utilize background music and do character voices. While it is not required for you to speak in-character, it can be a lot of fun! As a GM, I'm pretty "Rule of Cool". Luckily, Draw Steel is pretty good at setting players up with really cool moments anyway!
Homebrew rules
As Draw Steel is brand-new, I don't have any Homebrew to speak of just yet!

How Cruxien, Orange Wizard creates a safe table
I'll be sending all new players a form - This gives me information on each player's level of comfort with different topics, which I use to tailor the game experience to meet everyone's needs. X, N & O cards are used through private messaging - Feel free to Discord message me at any time during the session or afterward. We will also be taking a break at the halfway point of each session!
