About the adventure

Step off the Taurus Express and into 1920s Alexandria—a city of shimmering heat, forgotten gods, coloured lights, and layered truths. The Lady Afterwards is a richly narrative tabletop roleplaying experience set in the world of Secret Histories, from the award-winning creators of Cultist Simulator and the Book of Hours. This occult mystery blends historical intrigue with the surreal and the arcane. You’ll play a Bright Young Thing, a Medium, a Priest, or one of six unique characters summoned to Alexandria by a mysterious letter. What begins as a search for a missing woman soon spirals into a dreamlike descent through cults, conspiracies, and buried personal truths. Days are filled with café conversations, cryptic telegrams, and navigating colonial tensions. Nights bring haunting dreams, strange artefacts, and brushings against otherworldly Hours. You won’t need to know the Cultist Simulator universe to play—but fans will find deep lore and familiar echoes throughout. Packed with gorgeous props, tactile artefacts, and a lush Alexandria to explore, The Lady Afterwards is a mystery to solve, a world to get lost in, and a story that remembers your choices. Play it if you crave myth with your noir, secrets with your sunshine, and mystery that doesn't stay dead.

About me

Hi! I’m Kalle (or Aeon —both work). I’ve been telling stories at the table for close to 30 years, building worlds full of strange wonders, messy heroes, and just the right amount of chaos. Whether we’re exploring dark and moody city streets, laughing through a heist gone wrong, or chasing wild character arcs, I’m here for it. I love helping players make their big ideas sing—whether it’s crafting tangled backstories, scheming clever plans, or simply vibing in the world we create together. My games are inclusive, player-focused spaces where everyone gets a moment to shine.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character generation is semi-pregenerated, players will get the choice to put down some of their own skill points before the session. We will be using the editable PDFs that i will provide.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For my games you will need a discord account and desktop app (using the browser version of discord is not very stable), a relatively decent microphone and headphones (using speakers usually generates echo). There is no account required for my foundry server. Additionally you will need a PDF reader that allows editing. Most PDF readers these days provide this feature though, free of charge.

What Aeon / Kalle brings to the table

- Over 25 years of experience as a Game Master and player in tabletop rpgs. -My own Foundry Server with 24/7 uptime, which in itself comes with lots of quality of life mods and more. - Beautiful tokens for monsters, npcs and player characters - A dedicated Discord server with a very friendly, helpful community to geek out with. - All the materials you need to play your character and the game.

Safety

How Aeon / Kalle creates a safe table

Safe Place I consider my games to be a safe space to have fun in, away from the troubles of everyday life. As such i have a zero-tolerance policy towards the discussion of politics, harrasment, racism and anything against gender identity and LGTBQ+ culture. Everyone is welcome at my table as long as they respect everyone else at the table. It is that simple! Lines, Veils and Limits Prior to the Session we discuss as a group what we want for the game (Alignment and goals of the group, powerlevels etc), then we discuss and set lines and veils as well as limits for each player indivially. Everything will be compiled in a document by me. X, N and O Cards If anything gets triggered a player can usually just pipe up in voice chat, but many elect to put it into chat to not disrupt the flow. This usually takes the form of keywords such as red, orange and green. Stars and Whishes My door is always open for critique and I handle it very professionally. Never feel bad about communicating your wishes and critique to me. If you have issues with another player or their playstyle, please just contact me. I believe that most issues can be resolved just with communication. Breaks I have one scheduled break in the middle of the game, usually 5-10 minutes long. If a player needs a break, they can just pipe up in voice or chat and does not need to feel bad about it. RL happens to all of us! However the game usually continues (The others after all also paid for the game and want their money's worth out of a session!)
