About the adventure
In the city of Neverwinter, the undead rise and heroes are needed to investigate the cause. What starts as a routine investigation (for mighty level 10 heroes at least) turns into a plane-jumping hunt for one of the most iconic villains in D&D lore. See the sights of the multiverse, fight legendary foes, and become legends in your own right. Vecna awaits! We use the D&D 2024 ruleset, with supplementary materials from the extended ruleset and third party rules available on DnDBeyond. Note: this is a run of Vecna: Eve of Ruin with an established party of 3 who have continued from the Phandelver & Below: Shattered Obelisk campaign and some homebrew to explore character backstories. When you join, we'll fit you into the party with your own story and space to explore any themes for your character.

About me
I've been playing table-top role playing games (TTRPG) games for years and years and years and now it's my turn to craft unforgettable experiences for other people! Join me and be a part of immersive storylines filled with vivid characters supporting your character's journey, which will be the heart of the experience. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the TTRPG universe, I tailor the game experience to suit the preferences and comfort levels of the group. Every session is a collaborative endeavour where everyone's input is valued. I will always prioritise a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere which we can establish with a comprehensive session zero. Don't like a particular rule? Great! Tell me why and give me an alternative and if it works for the story and for the rest of the group we'll run with it. The mechanics should be there to enhance, rather than impede the story and more importantly having fun! I run games using the DnD 5e ruleset, DnDBeyond, ForgeVTT, and Discord. I use a mix of official maps and custom maps built in Dungeon Alchemist for times when the narrative goes in unexpected directions - which it often does! All my players will be able to access official DnD sourcebooks and materials when building characters via DnDBeyond. Syrinscape adds another level of immersion with official soundtracks and custom soundtracks for exploration, mystery, combat, drama, and more! What are you waiting for? There are stories to be told, get in and tell me what path they should take!

Creating your character
Here are the steps we'll follow to get you into the game: 1. Intro call with the GM. Understand player level and experience with the system, and to better accommodate the onboarding process 2. Character creation. This can be done in isolation, but the GM will provide input in terms of setting and party lore. No restrictions on characters (species, class, etc), although anything homebrew will need approval from the GM. 3. Session 0 with the existing party. Here we'll run through the module, themes, safety rules, and background lore established with everyone so we're all on the same page. 4. Play the game, talk to some dudes, and kill some enemies!
Currently in the party: Zora, a half-elf bard Piquette, a tiefling monk/druid Ni, a wood elf Cleric The party has previously completed the Phandalin and Below: Shattered Obelisk module and has been playing together for more than a year.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need the following accounts: 1. Discord, for communicating during the game. 2. Forge VT. This hosts Foundry, which I use for maps and dice rolling. 3. DnDBeyond. This is the source of truth for characters and provides access to a whole bunch of source materials for creation. Access to all will be provided once you're signed up and onboarded.
What Andrew brings to the table
Accents (good and bad) Greenscreen background images (immersive ooooo) Syrinscape for ambient music and sound effects (*rustle*) A wide range of DnBeyond sourcebooks, allowing you to create the perfect min-maxed nightmare you've always wanted.
Homebrew rules
House rules depend on the party. My approach is that if there's something that the party doesn't like and has a reasonable alternative, then we run with it. Remember, though, that if the heroes receive the benefit, then so do the enemies!

How Andrew creates a safe table
During onboarding, an RPG consent checklist will be provided with my dos and don'ts. You'll be encouraged to provide your own and discuss mine also. Session 0 will establish the ground rules between players, for example, no PvP. Players will be expected to adhere to these rules for everyone's safety. At the end of each session, there will be time to discuss stars and wishes, roses and thorns, what went well what didn't go so well. Feedback is always welcome at my tables. For those intense role-playing sessions, a check-in will also be provided. Players are encouraged to use X, N, and O cards at any time, either publicly or via private DM.
