About the adventure
Learn to play the newly released Cosmere RPG with the Stonewalkers Campaign. You'll create a character, have the opportunity to live in the wonderful yet harsh world of Roshar, fight terrifying foes, and solve a mystery that has plagued the Stormlight Archive since "Words of Radiance". This campaign will be story focused using the system to support the fun. GM encourages diving into RP, but understands that looks different for everyone. Maybe you enjoy going deep into accents and voices, or maybe you love building your character's backstory and motivations but aren't quite as comfortable acting it out. Both are welcome at this table. There will be a good mix of social encounters, exploring mystery/puzzles, and combat so that each session feels a bit different. All are welcome at this table as long as you're eager to jump into the narrative. This table is welcome to TTRPG newbies and veterans alike and LGBTQ+ friendly. This is a "Learn to Play", so while those who have already played this system are welcome, you must be patient with players who are new to the system or even TTRPGs in general.

About me
I'm a mega-nerd who has been playing TTRPGs for over a decade. While the majority has been D&D 5e, I've also dabbled in some other systems. Namely, recently I've been LOVING the new Cosmere RPG, and I've also run D&D 3.5, Honey Heist, and played a few others.

Creating your character
Prepare by looking through at least the free ruleset (can be found at https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/cosmererpg) to get an idea of what type of character you want to play and come up with a few narrative/backstory character concepts. We can fill in the rest during Session 0 and GM will give further instructions for finishing building your character between Session 0 and first proper session. If you want, feel free to fully create a level 1 character using the free rules or Stormlight Handbook in anticipation of Session 0 and we can then spend that time tying your character into the adventure narratively.
So far we have a... - Singer Leader / Stoneward - Herdazian Warrior / Dustbringer - Singer Scholar / Skybreaker - Alethi Scholar / Edgedancer (surgeon focus training to be medic)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I recommend spending some time looking through either the free rules or Stormlight Handbook at the basic mechanics and character creation in anticipation to lightly familiarize yourself with some concepts. That said, if it's overwhelming, don't worry - the GM will be there to help explain the rules and options and can also help explain potential character choices. We will be using Foundry as our VTT, though you won't need to do anything ahead of time for that. A link will be sent during Session 0 for you to use to hop on to the server. Make sure you have a Discord account as I expect to create either a group message or server for group communication.
What Zac | Worldsinger Zetego brings to the table
I embrace creativity in all areas of gameplay, be it regarding mechanics or roleplaying. I encourage leaning into the narrative and building out your character's motivations, personality, flaws, and passions. You may often hear me ask for your character's motivation or what's going through their mind. This is done not to challenge what you're doing, but because it allows us to build more meaningful scenes when we take a moment to consider what may be behind the curtain. I do light character voices though not over-the-top or accented (though you are welcome to go all in on your accent if you like!). While I enjoy understanding the rules deeply and even a bit of rules-lawyering I will often embrace the rule-of-cool or allow for common sense bending of the rules where it fits.

How Zac | Worldsinger Zetego creates a safe table
A Lines and Veils document will be sent out before Session 0 for players to fill in and send to GM. Table rules will then be set during Session 0 and a formalized document will be sent out afterwards. Players are encouraged to privately message GM if they are uncomfortable at any point (during or after session) so that the GM can pause what's going on and redirect and address behavior as needed without putting the player on the spot.
