About the adventure

You are a guildmember of the famous and illustrious Foxe and Sittow, where members take on contracts to deliver mysterious, dangerous, and mystical objects to far-away places and threatening locales! As a higher-ranking member of the Guild, you and your party are responsible for high-profile deliveries, like magical creatures, ancient and powerful artifacts, and important people. Unbeknownst to anyone else, however, a threat looms over the Material Plane! Will you and your party change the inevitable fate of the world? Drop in and drop out, your tasks will change the fate of the world no matter how often you can play! This is a standalone 3-session mini-campaign that can lead into a larger narrative. If you like the guild's vibes, look for my other listing for the longer campaign!

About me

When I started playing Dungeons and Dragons back in middle school, it was just before 3rd edition came out. Since then, I've been a sucker for all kinds of tabletop games-- D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Kids on Bikes, Shadowrun, White Wolf, and many others-- and it's been my goal to share the coolness of playing make-believe with anyone who will listen. I've been a professional game master since 2015, and have run several full-length campaigns as well as smaller experiences and one-shots. If you're looking to play at a table that's accepting and open, then my table will work well for you! I'm LGBTQI+ friendly, and I think the Combat Wheelchair is radical and cool. I'm in the CET Berlin time zone (UTC+1 or UTC+2 in the case of Daylight Savings)! You can come to one of my existing games, or make a specific custom request!

Character creation

Creating your character

During session zero, which will be the first hour of the first session, I will have some pre-made characters as well as some character archetypes ready for anyone who wants them. You can create your character beforehand and bring it along, as well. All characters will be cleared and set into the world within session Zero, at level three to begin.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Here's the link to the campaign info sheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DOnFZzsOsEAdavTKWj3ZiivQpzFJvIPBMFPJicabwis/ The game is friendly to beginner players, but anyone can participate. That being said, it would be wonderful if you were at least familiar with the basic mechanics of the game-- that is, how to roll dice to do things. There will be a world handout that you can read if you like (it will make immersion into the world a little easier). I appreciate but do not require a little backstory for your character. If you would like to create your character beforehand, please prepare a level 3 character using resources from the 5E Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Volo's Guide to Monsters, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything., OR the 2024 Player's Handbook. If you would like to save time, you can send me your sheet beforehand to clear it (this is preferred!).

What Vincent brings to the table

As we will be playing on Roll20, I will have a wide range of maps ready. I also have an accomplished artist from whom you could commission art of your character, or you can choose existing art or pictures to use as your tokens. If you would like me to do so, I can make you a simplified document that explains your character abilities, and when you can use them. You will also have access to a Discord server for your game. This game is an introduction to a longer campaign but can be experienced by itself, so you can get a taste of what the world of Temay Veldt is like!

Homebrew rules

My tables use a rule called Epic Inspiration, where if everyone at the table chooses to spend one of their inspirations to help someone at a thing, then that roll becomes an automatic 20 on the roll.

Safety

How Vincent creates a safe table

This game relies on some the following themes for major story beats: Religion, social manipulation. It does not explore themes of a sexual nature, though there may be instances of some light romance or flirting depending on the party. Language will be adjusted to the level of comfort of the group as a whole. We will take at least one fifteen minute break, and can do more if the party requests it. Roll20 has a built-in XNO deck, which we'll go over how to use!
